Review:The Boy on the Bridge is M.R. Carey's long-awaited sequel to The Girl With All the Gifts. As in the first book a plague has swept through the world making humans that contract the fungus "hungries"--essentially zombies whose only purpose is to devour the flesh of living creatures. Rosie, a heavily fortified vehicle, filled with soldiers and scientists sets out from Beacon (the last fortified encampment in the UK) to find a cure.
A third type of intelligent life, "the children", discovers ... Read more
Review:Just finished reading this book, I Had to reread all 4 books in the series to get myself back in the groove before getting myself a copy. Yes, im that big of a fan of the Arcana chronicles. And yes, i wanted to hold off reading this one because going in, i thought that this book would close the series. So i was disappointed that it didnt. Im glad that theres gonna be another book to look forward to (can you please publish faster? ? ) about these larger than life characters that ive grown to ... Read more
Review:I've been a fan of Nalini Singh's since I first came across her Guild Hunter series back in 2011 and I've been wanting to try her Psy-Changeling series for just as long, and last week I finally bit the bullet and borrowed the e-book from my library.
And you know what? I loved it. I did, I really, really did. I was totally surprised by the fact that I loved it because of the sci-fi and paranormal blend which I thought was pretty unique compared to the other romances I usually read.

Review:I'm a bit confused. But let me start with I think this is definitely better than Ashley Bell, back to the" Koontz" I love reading. I was intrigued from the beginning, the storyline drawing me in... but..... the chapter beginnings were not always easy flowing. Some drag on sentences, although I'm not an English teacher.... but I can get past all of this to a 4 star review but then the book ended, without closure... I'm left completely perplexed, what happened after this? I'm left shaking my head... Read more
Review:I read young adult fiction because there is usually very little swearing or sex. After the second chapter, I sent the books back. The main character has a filthy mouth. Sad because the premise of the story is a good one. Read more
Review:The Scorpio Races is an absolutely breathtaking book. Puck and Sean are both incredibly alive; I never felt like they were just characters on a page. Every background character had that sense of life.
I’m pretty sure we’re all familiar with the magic of Maggie Stiefvater’s writing; The Scorpio Races is no exception. Every part of this book, especially Thisby, the island Puck and Sean live on, breathes with every page turn.
I LOVED The Scorpio Races. Much like The Raven Cycle, it re... Read more
Review:This book was a disappointment. I enjoyed the first three quite a bit. The protagonist's story was compelling and the author is talented. But this one changes Darrow's first-person narrative to multiple points of view from new characters that should not have been introduced so late in the series. It's still good writing, but the author should have started a new series or spin-off rather than leading us to believe this fourth installment would be similar to the first three. I am reluctant to... Read more

Review:Forget H. G. Wells. This is an extraordinary meditation on the nature of invisibility, how one becomes invisible, what it means, and the limits of what one can do to recover some visibility, some corporeal essence, when the world around you not only does not recognize you, but cannot or will not even see you in the first place. Yes, the novel has flaws, but the deeper truth within does not exceed one's grasp and is ultimately transcendent. Sure, you can pick nits, but in so doing is exposed, ... Read more
Review:This book brings The Seeker and Mother Confessor back together after the prophecies kept them moving in different directions. There is lots of action and fast paced storytelling going on here. I highly recommend this book. Read more
