Review:This book not only paints a clear picture of what a writer needs to do to become an author, but it also turns the spotlight on the details that need to be taken care of to achieve success, it does so in a way which is lively and enjoyable to read. It definitely isn't a painfully elaborated textbook, but rather a feast of good information which will help both the struggling and the successful writer publish his work Read more

Review:Great book! Full of inspiration for the classroom. As a reading teacher, this provides me hope that I can be a Book Whisperer, too! I enjoyed this so much that I immediately ordered Donalyn's other book- Reading In The Wild. So far, just as good or better. Read more
Review:This book will really touch the heart and you will realize that there is alot of crazy people in this world. Some of the things that parents can do to their innocent children is simply distasteful. You will be shocked at stories of children starving to death and a kid being thrown out of a 23 story building. Along with all of the stories of thing happen to the children you will see the emotional effect it has on the Child Service members. They do their best to try and make a reasonable d... Read more
Review:The best books on the market. Literally. I practically bought every book on the market for my toddler and this is BY FAR the VERY BEST. I bought the level one pack and the level 2 already. I'll definitely get level 3. These books are the best, most interactive way to teach your child to read. I love the fact that they have just one or two lines of clear text per page to help children concentrate on the words. The size is perfect too. Big enough to read words clearly and small to stash into trave... Read more

Review:I must say this Kindle book was a nice surprise - although the topic might discourage many people from browsing this book at all, I find the book to be very well written and appropriate for all audiences regardless of educational background. Formatting on the Kindle is overall acceptable, but with the occasional missing word or sub phrase, like in this example in Locations 2933-42 "Thus February 12, 1809, has and 14+14 = 0, so ..." Review:This update makes us aware of new issues that affect reading--"no child left behind", Kindles, computers, iPads, iPhones, etc. and how to maximize a child's pleasure (and yours) in reading aloud. The updated handbook in the second half of the book is a listing of proven good reads organized by age and kind. It is a valuable resource for fun and success in reading to children and watching them learn to read without being taught. Read more
Review:This is fun, because the children already know the Nursery Rhymes....and we can share with each other. As a tutor, I love these books because I don't have to read it all and it helps me see how their reading is improving. Read more
