The Winter Long (October Daye Series Book 8)
The Winter Long (October Daye Series Book 8)

Review:Absolutely loves this book. Her October Daye series gets better with each book!! So sad I have to wait a year for the next installment. Seanan McGuire knows how to wrap up a book but keep you in suspense and wanting for the next book. Read more

Late Eclipses (October Daye Series Book 4)
Late Eclipses (October Daye Series Book 4)

Review:Late Eclipses (book 4) is a very will written novel with the usual interesting well developed characters once again battling evil in their world. Toby races against time and misinformation as her enemies attempt too kill persons that are important to her. Toby and her friends save the day restoring their world to the peaceful world they love. But evil still is at work as the series continues in the next book in the series. I would recommend this series too anyone who enjoys will written science ... Read more

An Artificial Night (October Daye Series Book 3)
An Artificial Night (October Daye Series Book 3)

Review:I read someone opining somewhere that any adventure series that goes on long enough eventually does a "The Most Dangerous Game" episode, and I suppose this book is Toby's. It seems that Blind Michael's Hunt (this series's version of the "wild hunt" myth) is preying on children, both fae and human, and once again October Daye, halfling PI and fledgling hero must plunge into a situation way above her head to put a stop to it.

McGuire's October Daye series is a bit of an odd duck in the Urb... Read more

A Local Habitation (October Daye Series Book 2)
A Local Habitation (October Daye Series Book 2)

Review:A Local Habitation is the second book in the October Daye series, and Toby has gone back to work as a P.I. Of course. Sylvester has a task for her. Go to Freemont and check on his niece who has stopped returning his calls. But when Toby arrives, the situation is much more alarming than anyone had imagined. It seems members of January’s team are coming up dead, murdered. But…the night haunts are not taking the bodies. Why? And since January’s daughter is probably the best “surveillance/security”... One Salt Sea (October Daye Series Book 5)
One Salt Sea (October Daye Series Book 5)

Review:References to previous storylines....

After being saved by her mother in Late Eclipses, Toby is now working on finding balance again: with her stronger Fae abilities, with her new title as Countess of Goldengreen, and with her reblooming relationship with Connor. When the news comes that the sons of the Saltmist Duchy have been taken, Toby is tasked with discovering where they are before war begins between land and sea. When the task becomes personal, Toby will stop at nothing to save the... Read more

Monster Hunter Nemesis (Monster Hunters International Book 5)
Monster Hunter Nemesis (Monster Hunters International Book 5)

Review:I really enjoyed reading this installment of the Monster Hunter series. It was nice to get to understand the background of Agent Franks and as usual Larry Correia did a great job detailing everything. Read more

The Intuitionist
The Intuitionist

Review:Great fun. The suspense mounts from page one on, and along the way, something even more remarkable happens: the remarkably true-to-life character of Lila Mae is fleshed out in a series of sharp, moving flashbacks, incidents even she has forgotten, and still these little peepholes into her mind don't let the reader guess what motivates her. She is fascinating. The circumstances that throw her off of her chosen path--the unlikely crash of an elevator she has just inspected, and the evil corpo... Read more

More Than Need You (More Than Words Book 2)
More Than Need You (More Than Words Book 2)

Review:Griffin Reed, I, More Than Need YOU! Yes, yes I do! I have a love for all things written by Shayla Black. This book here pulls at the heart strings. I was so frustrated at times and wanted to stop reading. I couldn't, I had to know what happened. I felt one with these characters: their pain, their joy, their sadness. Read more

The Choice (Doms of Her Life - Heavenly Rising Book 1)
The Choice (Doms of Her Life - Heavenly Rising Book 1)

Review:The Choice by Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob, Isabella Lapearl

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

I love Shayla Black and I love the Doms of Her Life series. I never read these other authors before but I love the book! I love Heavenly (great name). I love Beck. I liked Seth.
I don’t like “cheating”. I know that’s weird when you are talking about a BDSM book, and a book about menage. And technically, cheating didn’t occur, but it did. I almost couldn’t finish the book because of it.... Read more

Misadventures of a Backup Bride (Misadventures Book 2)
Misadventures of a Backup Bride (Misadventures Book 2)

Review:Shayla Black, I will never look at bread pudding the same again! Maybe I’ll have my own fun with it some day. ;)

I’m never disappointed by a Shayla Black book. It doesn’t matter the length or premise, I can always expect the same depth of character, sensuality, and well-developed storyline. Carson and Ella’s journey was fast-paced and along the lines of insta-lust/insta-love. But sometimes you just know... Carson and Ella were soul mates through and through. From that chance meeting so lo... Read more
