Review:Being a successful designer business woman myself, I was excited to check out this book
as I often am inspired by other talented women. While it's not a complaint, more an observation,
I noted that :
1) After a while, the questions seemed too repetitive - and I got bored and just skimmed through the rest.
Perhaps 2 or 3 different sets of questionnaires would be great to mix it up.
2) I wish the author would show specifically what these talented women made and noted their business<... Read more
Review:There is just one or two (not new) interesting concepts in this book and on top of it, the author could have captured them all in a few pages only. There was not really a good reason to write a this book except for letting us know how incredible IDEO is.
In comparison, "Ten faces of Innovation" is much more informative. Both books are easy to read and entertaining, but lack pragmatic advice. If you have to choose one of them, read "ten faces" only. Read more
Review:This book is simply awesome, definitely not your typical design book, and that’s what makes it so great!! I can’t take my hands off of it, can’t stop reading it, and the pictures are gorgeous!!
Hilarious, great design, hard to stop reading, just BUY IT! Read more
Review:The cover of this book intrigued me on the Amazon website; fresh and graceful handling of classic pieces in monochromatic black and white, all set off by the "piano key" border down the left side and very smart-looking. Unfortunately, this is the highlight of the book and from here the author's work tends to be variations on the same theme, which is quickly tiresome. Her prose is personable and pleasant, if cheeky, but that's not enough to justify the purchase price. It caused me to do someth... Read more

While she doesn't sugarcoat anything, her advice makes launching your product seem possible and within reach. A really inspiring and educational read for every aspiring product entrepreneur. Review:I learned a bit about perspective from another of Scott's books, How to Draw Cars the Hot Wheels Way, but wanted to understand more about the mechanics of some of his constructions in that book. This book is much more detailed and very clearly and effectively explains every perspective construction you could need. As a design student, I'm excited to finally be able to visually realize the ideas in my head. Best perspective drawing book I've found. Read more
Review:I thoroughly enjoyed "How to Draw" by Scott Robertson and Thomas Bertling and especially liked the companion videos available through the Scott Robertson Workshop website. My only complaint with this new release is that the videos can not be played on my laptop like with "H2D", they will only work on my Kindle Fire and it is nice to see the videos on a larger screen. I have tried to contact Scott through his website but have not received a reply as of this writing. When selecting a video for pla... Read more
Review:This majestic book speaks volumes about the creative mind and ingenious sense of style of Tom Ford. Images within this high-end volume include all of his innovations for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent not only in fashion accessories but also in how they were modeled and displayed. In other words, he took the most mundane of notions, such as sunglasses, and made them into iconic needs for the rich and famous. He used only the finest photographers - Richard Avedon, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel, H... Read more
