Review:Poison is the 17th entry in John Lescroart's long running Dismas Hardy series.

Review:Absolutely, did not care for the book. Purchased the book after seeing the 4 star rating for it and was sorely disappointed. For those of you planning to buy the book please don't read any further. In my opinion, there was nothing interesting about the central character Rose. She was selfish, self- centered, a terrible mother, a terrible wife and a terrible daughter.... Not in the least likeable. How can one like the book when the central character is so cold, uncaring and shallow...beats m... Read more
Review:ONE thing after another was just so UNBELIEVABLE! NO adoptive parents would EVER do the things these two did. I can't even get started on the behavior of the therapist!!!!!!!! The actions of the adults in this book is not only unbelievable, but laughable! Unfortunately, it was to the point of annoyance. Several times I actually wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. Review:Ripping good read. Fast paced, tightly plotted and well written. Classic anti-hero protagonist reminiscent of Mike Harmon, protagonist of John Ringo's "Paladin of Shadows" series. Bunker is a man with a past, trying to atone for that past. Read more
Review:Doesn't a story of royalty gone wrong make delicious gossip? Though we know the eventual outcome in some ways, the journey is worth the misery and finality. The rivalry between the two countries becomes clearer with what has gone on in the past. What treachery! Read more
Review:Not only was I disappointed in the story line, but the book itself was very poorly put together. It was reduced to almost paper book size, when stated it was hard cover, and the paper for the pages was extremely cheap. I love the smell and feel of hard cover books and I do not mind paying for them. This was not the quality I expect when I pay for hard cover and not paper book. It went to the book sale at the library. It was only worth three dollars. Read more
Review:This is a very compelling, unusual story and a believable account of how human relationships can successfully develop, even under adverse circumstances. Also, the book makes math seem interesting, even to a person like me, who has no special interest in math. Read more
Review:This book has such an amazing premise. What happens to the children of parents who write a sex-tell-all/instruction-guide (think The Joy of Sex) after they discover The Book? What happens after their "so in love" parents get divorced? In 1975, the Mellow parents, Paul and Roz, write a book that celebrates their love, and their love-making. The international bestseller features the Mellows in various poses straight from the Kama Sutra in all their naked glory; including the Position they crea... Read more
Review:Sophie Kinsella is a reliable author, in a good way. One could say her books are formulaic and always have a happy ending, but sometimes that is just what you want, and while tou can see several plot points a mile away, Kinsella still makes the journey enjoyable, primarily through her believable characters and zany, funny situations.
Another great thing about Kinsella is that she writes about women at all stages of life. Some women are older and alone, others are single and clueless. With... Read more
