Review:A++++! Bravo Samantha Young! I only leave comments for books that I strongly dislike or absolutely love! and I loved this one! I have read most of Samantha Young's books & have enjoyed them. But this one is my favorite by far! Samantha has grown as an author, much more mature writing! very witty, sexy & smart. I loved both the hero & especially the heroine. She was a pleasure to read about! BUY THIS BOOK! Read more

Review:Others here have carefully pointed out what a waste of trees this was. I agree with them all.
One additional point I wanted to make was that once his original intervention from the first book was itself intervened, no way should his history continued like it had before, with him having that son and all else the same.
The high point, such as it was, on the ship with that guy, was a complete dud. The recognition of the Jata lady as a fellow time traveler could have been better writte... Read more

Review:I found this book from a friend's recommendation. I skimmed it in about three hours. It was fairly obvious what the conclusion would be. The juxtaposition of chapters from early 1800s to fairly well up to date was interesting but I did not think it was ever made full use of. The writing was shallow and superficial. The book will not age well because of this and because of the use of what could be called modern idiom. This language is constantly changing among young people and in a year new ... Read more
Review:A wonderful depiction of our possible dystopian near future. A little heavy on the economic explanations but a very descriptive foreshadowing of our culture in America turned upside down. I recommend that it be read concurrently with an eye on our current American political situation. Read more
Review:This is a good series. The life of Uhtred continues to be compelling reading. He has much to put up with but manages to come through stronger than ever. He's a strong character and you can't help but like him even if you don't agree with his actions. Read more
Review:This book was definitely hard to get through, with very frank talk and incredibly descriptive scenes about trafficking. The writing is fantastic and I would read again to experience the relationship bloom between Jake and Lily all over again. It's enough to make you cry to see how they come together in some very serious, dangerous circumstances. Read more
Review:I enjoyed reading Tortilla Curtain even if it was a very depressing story, at least the plot made sense and the characters were well developed. This was not the case in San Miguel: A Novel. The plot was never fully developed; was there even a plot? The characters lacked depth, unless you consider San Miguel, the island, a character. There was absolutely nothing in this book that kept me interested. I finally stopped reading after part 2. Don't buy this book - it's waste of money. Don't read thi... Read more
