You Loved Me At My Darkest

This book was definitely hard to get through, with very frank talk and incredibly descriptive scenes about trafficking. The writing is fantastic and I would read again to experience the relationship bloom between Jake and Lily all over again. It's enough to make you cry to see how they come together in some very serious, dangerous circumstances.

Wow. This story utterly captivated me. I almost didn't read it because after seeing some of the reviews I was afraid the hero would be too dark and psychopathic to be likable. I'm so glad I didn't pass it up.

A dark romance showcasing Lily's tragic experiences and the guard trying to help get her through it. Enjoyable, well written with developed characters. Only four stars because I have read similar stories that I liked better. Still interested in reading the next in the series to learn more about these characters.

Once I started reading this book I could not stop. Omg it's brilliant, gripping, intense, gripping, lol yeah I said gripping twice well three times! This is a must read, it is dark and has a confronting storyline but I loved the fact the author had an unbelievably strong female character such as Lily. Evie prepare to be stalked from now on because I need to read the rest of your books!!!

What an emotional roller coaster! Two sisters from Australia come to the US to sightsee when they're kidnapped and prepared to be sold into sex slavery. I wish I had read this one before I read You Loved Me At My Weakest only because of the way the story seemed to continue although this isn't a cliffhanger. Great story that deals with unthinkable situations.

Wow! What a book this was! It starts off running as soon as you open the book and keeps you in suspense all the way through! The book starts off with two sisters in Australia that have lost both their parents. They run the family farm and thought it would be fun to take a trip to New York City. What a big mistake!

Epic! A fantastic read! I loved this book...I wasn't sure at the beginning since I thought it would be a little dark with the events that were going to take place. The story was so well written, sex scene's were tastefully done. I couldn't put the book down! It will have you in fear, cheering, crying, heart pounding suspense. Wow, amazing book!

I never in my life expected that anything so dark could give birth to something so filled with light. This book was amazing, filled with anguish and hate, love and happiness! My heart ached with sadness . I cried! With all the torment that the characters endured came a joy of survival! Kudos Ms. Harper...

Dark, exciting, fun and easy to read. The characters draw you in and keep you close. You fall in love with them, root for them and cheer them on! I can't wait until I can get the rest of the books and fall deeper in love with the other characters.

So flippin' good. I literally started this morning and didn't put it down till I finished. This book consumes you in such a good way. The story, as appalling as some scenarios were, realization that this can and does happen makes it just....I'm seriously speechless. I wanted the whole time to punch Mick and Marco...gross coward men. Anywho....Jake and Lily? Magical. True love holds no bounds. This is a must read and 5 + stars from me!

I have a love hate relationship with this book. I hate that sex slavery is out there, I hate the pain that the women go through, but I have to know about it. The author did a great job of weaving the characters, Jake and lily, along with great plot. I will read her books again.

This book was exceptional!! I loved everything about it...the story line, the characters and excellently written. My mind was blown! Looking forward to more of her work. If you don't read this book, you are missing out.

Excellent content, kept me intrigued , it was hard to put the book down. Sexy parts are great . ..I would definitely recommend this book to read, can't wait to read some books from this great writer!!!

Surprisingly good and engaging. For once, there was suspense, and a storyline, not just sex descriptions. I appreciated how each book explained the struggles, each women went through due to the same abuse they were exposed too.

This was an emotional read that had fear, tragedy, loss & mostly love. These sisters touched me in a way I will never forget. If you want a fantastic book that will touch your heart & keep u coming back for me then this books for u.

The author wrote a heartfelt story. One that depicts unconscionable acts of degradation to women all over the world. The story was hard to read but kept me captivated wanting the hero and heroine to win.

Loved it! The story line had everything! Just when you thought it would go one way, the author throws you a curve ball! The book is dark but the author did and incredible job of allowing you to feel all the emotions from both sides. Absolutely awesome! Can't wait to read the next series!

It seems so real. With every character I could not help but feel a different emotion, love, hate, anger and sorrow. This is an awesome book and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Written well. Loved Jake from the start. There was just something about him. My heart broke for Lil and Sasha and all the slaves and collection girls.
There was a lot of drama and psychotic men but the details into their depravities were mostly left to the imagination.
Can't wait to read Emily and Kanyes story!

Amazing journey for all three of the main characters, this book is not for the faint of heart, nor is it intended to be a dark romance. The book deals with human trafficking and slavery as well as kidnapping and rape.

I was captivated until the very end.

Very, very good read! First book of new book club, everyone loved it. This is not the average boy meets girl love story. This book takes you to all those dark places you never knew really existed and out of the darkness comes Love!

I started reading this book mid-morning and finished late in the afternoon, once I started it I couldn't put it down. I plan on starting the 2nd book in this series as soon as I finish this review. Hats off to the author Eve Harper, for writing a gripping story of love, loss, strength and redemption!!!

I was unimpressed with the plot. It turned into a sexual romp with a little unrealistic melodrama thrown in.
I must say, however, that the writer did well in her use of the 1st person narrative and switching from the h/h.

You loved me at my Darkest was outstanding, I would give her 10 stars. This book was hard to stand because of what Lilly and Sasha went through. But I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I had to know if they made it out from the most evil men who would do this to human being. I love this book so much I had to read book 2, You loved me at my weakest.

Amazing Debut from Evie Harper. I wouldn't say its dark but it definitely has dark elements to it. Its emotional and has the perfect amount of suspense, sexy, and tender moments to it. Cant wait for the next book- (no this is not a cliffhanger)
