The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time

Review:A great book. Gives all the information you could want out of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. History, timelines, and important facts about all the nations that make up Jordan's fictional world. It even gives the calender and holidays of the many nations. Facts and info on the Aiel, the Seanchan, the Aes Sedai, and Sea Folk. Stories from before the Breaking, during the Breaking, and after. Nothing--save the books in the Wheel of Time series--beats this book. Read more

Review:These postcards are the perfect size for use with fine tip pens (I prefer pens to pencils because they produce more vibrant colors). I can finish a full postcard in a couple of coloring sessions and I love that I can send the finished products to friends and family so that I don't have a stack of colored pages sitting around the house.

I find coloring a relaxing, yet engaging activity, and working through this book has been a great way to wind down after some stressful periods at work.Read more

Learn to Paint Watercolor in 30 Days - Everyday Watercolor

Review:It's a great book! Well organized tutorials. Skills are arranged cumulatively. The basics of mark making are covered all the way to composing a full-page illustration. The designs are beautiful, on trend, and inspiring. It also seems like the content is quite balanced between providing visual appeal and thorough instruction, that is there are pretty images scattered pretty evenly among the text. Read more

Figure Drawing for All It's Worth

Review:So I purchased this book after reading Mythology: The DC Comics Arts of Alex Ross in which i discovered that Alex Ross studied Andrew Loomis' book in order to improve both his shading and anatomy. The book arrived on time. I've never purchased an art book before but I was surprised to find out just how easy it was to follow. From learning about shading and how it applies to the human figure to creating form and learning how to apply it on a live model this book was truly a guide into anatomy dra... Read more

Stress Relieving Designs Animals - Paisley Patterns And So M

Review:Honestly I was a bit disappointed with this book. The designs are really cool, but it’s pretty common to find lines that are faded (like a copy of a copy of a copy) and a lot of lines look pixelated as well.

Not bad for the price but I’d recommend getting a different coloring book. Read more

The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts
The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts

Review:A delightful and unique book that charms you all the way over with the adorable drawings and interesting trivia.

Did you know that owls cannot move their eyes?
Or that the Chinese leather turtle pees through its mouth?
Well, I didn't!

The illustrations are fun, drawn with a light touch, simple but excellently detailed. A great combination of art and biology and would be a great addition in a child's learning period. To anyone's reading curriculum actually!

The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts

Review:This is an amazing art dump from the entire Zelda series history. Any official art you could think of, printed crisply with great colors—no blurring from taking art and blowing it up too large. And huge! Over 400 pages, and it weighs a ton! Read more
