Review:I would highly recommend this book for a couple reasons. First of all is the quality. Though it's paperback, it's a well-made book. A book that looks nice on the outside as well as the inside always attracts me. Secondly, the information contained inside is very interesting and well-reasearched. It takes many of the magical phenomena named in Harry Potter and gives much more information on it. It's not a book about Harry Potter, just a supplement, which entertains and informs. I would recommend ... Read more
Review:As a parent I absolutely loved this book and will cherish its wisdom in the event of a zombie crisis so I can keep my kids safe, lol. I plan to stock up on legos and jacks to sprinkle around the floor so they really can be used as a defense mechanism but I draw the line at getting a minivan. I have REFUSED for years to be a Minivan Mom, I’ll stick to my SUV.
It really is very tongue in cheek while providing survival tips but it somehow still came off as a good parenting book which I didn’... Read more
Review:I thought it was going to be another Jack Reacher novel. What it is is a whole collection of things you already know about Jack Reacher rolled into one. Even excerpts of things he's said in prior novels. And I had to pay $9.99 to,see it. I would really like my money back. Very misleading Read more
Review:Have learned a lot from the artist. The colors. The tints. And his imagination has helped me in my art works. I pick up this book often and every time it give me more inspiration. He is not like other artists. He shares his knowledge which others seem to think they are too special to let anyone know their secrets. Read more
Review:I ordered Rogue Warrior and the invoice said Rogue Warrior, but I received Rogue Warrior Seize The Day... I knew I would love the book and so far I do, but I still want the book I originally ordered. Kind of a hassle even though I'm very pleased with the product. Read more
Review:Interesting book and perspective but made me not like Nelle Harper so much...she had so many gifts...too bad she was so reticent to share them with everyone who admired her and loved her To Kill a Mockingbird....which was very much an autobiography in my opinion. Read more
Review:I'm a history buff and have always been fascinated by the first World War. This book is a personal account by an intelligent man about his service in the British Army during that war. He includes many details about his family, his education and his training in the military that tell one a lot about the pre-war period. His account of life in the trenches is occasionally unforgettable.
It's a good read, too. Read more
Review:Sometimes you need a break from the thrillers and who dun its and a nice story is just what the doctor ordered. This is a reader's book, a book for people who read for pleasure. If you liked The Storied Life of AJ Fikry, try this. Read more
Review:Hardy's last novel before public indignation forced him to give up book writing (for poetry) really uses passion as a destructive force. As he takes his most likable male character in Jude and basically ruins him against his 2 least enjoyable female leads in Arabell and Sue. Sue more than anything is infuriatingly fickle and will either make you yell at the book or wish for her early exit. She's a real struggle to cozy up to and yet she becomes the voice for Hardy to express his disgust with soc... Read more
