Review:This entry in Patrick McManus's catalog is far from his best work. It's a collection of short stories and articles that supposedly have never been published, so it's really just a catch-all for Mr. McManus in his sunset years. It's good; several of the stories brought a smile or a chuckle, but nothing delivered the snort, chortle, or uproarious laughter inspired by some of his other books. Overall it's a fairly solid read, but don't expect it to take up it's place in the veritable pantheon of hi... Read more
Review:This book is very good for a hard core survivorist and the weekend camper. The things he talks about make a lot if sense and his way of teaching is a lot better than most. I would recommend this book in a heart beat. Read more

Review:This exciting expedition to form the first Northwestern post to deal with furs here in the states and foreign lands thereafter was conducted on land and sea.
The gruelling land adventures led to starvation death and betrayal.
On sea, again led destruction of the sea adventure.
You can almost feel the depth of w hat these early explorers felt.
This is a good and historical read. Read more

Review:This book is very interesting with tips and stories. I liked his original book "Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life" better as that had more practical application. This one has more stories than practical applications, but it is still good to know info. Read more
Review:A fun book that will challenge your understanding of the avian world around you. Even if you skip over the neurochemical descriptions, as I mostly did, there is plenty of easily accessible material here to hold your interest. An easy read that will make you look at the crows you walk, bike, or drive by every day in an entirely different light. Read more
