This book is very interesting with tips and stories. I liked his original book "Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life" better as that had more practical application. This one has more stories than practical applications, but it is still good to know info.

Jason Hanson has done it again. Translating his skills as a CIA officer into a readable, useful, and interesting set of skills to be applied to daily life for those willing to avoid trouble and 'survive like a spy', this is an excellent read, augmented with quotes and anecdotes from others in the clandestine services. Keep your head on a swivel!

Survive Like A Spy gives lots of easily explained techniques to keep you safe. All the methods from finding out if you are being followed to how to behaved if you are kidnapped, is illustrated by examples taken from real life clandestine operations.
The book is easy to read and the examples are page turners. I especially recommend Survive Like A Spy for anyone traveling to 3rd world countries.

There is information not found in most survival books, but after thinking it over it is common sense. The problem with common sense is that it isn't common. The problem with nonsense is that it is common.

Jason Hansen Has done it again. CIA trained he has passed as much of his knowledge to his reading public as he is allowed. Take advantage of the knowledge he has acquired through his extensiveness training and skill as a writer!

I loved the way Jason wrote about real life experiences to make his points. He kept my interest though out the book. I'm no James Bond but knowing some of the ways spy's really operate is interesting. I don't know if I will ever have to use what I learned in this book, but it is good knowing I can communicate with and take care of my family and friends if the time comes.

Loaded with practical information and easy to understand, I would so highly recommend to anyone who takes his/her personal safety seriously. What really goes on that we have no idea about. An easy read that you should not pass up.

I think that “hearing” about real-world actions, even if they are sanitized, is infinitely more beneficial and productive than any amount of “if I were in that situation I would...” This book allows the reader to see a bit of what some of the most highly trained and experienced operatives in the world have been through to protect and defend our republic; thank you!

I pre-ordered this book after reading Jason's first book "Spy Secrets that Can Save Your Life." For the price, you learn about real life situations and how others have overcame them; tips, tricks and what to look out for in everyday life. It's fascinating as well as a fast read. I would highly recommend it to everyone!

This book is outstanding. It’s not only for peepers but for anyone who understands how easily anyone can be monitored to become a victim in today’s world. Obviously, we are not all spies but we should learn techniques for avoiding bad situations and some covert ideas to help blend in when necessary. Amazing info.

I had read Jason Hanson's previous book " Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life " which I liked very much, so I pre-ordered this one as soon as it was announced - I like this one very much as well. I found it to be very informative and interesting. Also it is well organized so that you can use it as a reference manual.

Have always been interested in spys and secret agents since The Man From U.N.C.L.E. back in the 1960's. Of course those sources were all mostly fake. It is excellent getting information from real life participants writing about real life incidents. Thank you, Jason Hanson, for providing very interesting material!

I am captivated by the skills, experience, real cases, and practical real-life suggestion from the book by Jason. What Jason shares in the book is very valuable for basic and advanced security and survival. I am glad that I bought this book to make myself smarter in protecting myself and my family.

I have always been very safety conscience. I always look at what is going on around me. I'm still reading the first book. So much great information. When it comes to staying safe at home, in public and online you really can't let anything get by you. If I get an email asking for personal info, or that just seems suspicious, I forward it to the bank or company that they are claiming to be from. You can go to almost any big company or bank site and get a link to send suspicious (phishing) emails to. I have more than a few of them listed in my contacts and they get used often. There is so much to learn from Jason Hanson's books. I highly recommend both of them.

Another great book by Jason. As someone who has traveled the world to less than tourist like places for many years, I appreciate learning new tips and tricks for self awareness at all times. Great read by one who knows and others who have lived it.

Just finished Jason's new book.
Very worth while read. A great companion to his first book. Facts in this book could save your life.
As an added feature it reads like a spy novel.
Highly recommend it.

Definitely cool to have a window into clandestine tradecraft methods. An easy and enjoyable read. Some of the stories were clearly decades old, which detracted somewhat my interest, but overall a great book!

What a joke. All these 5 star reviews - really? This is book of "spy stories", and you're supposed to learn from them. With a healthy supply of web addresses sprinkled all around the book, the author offers you "free" info in exchange for your email, then postal mailing address. IT's basically a bound version of a native advertisement - all designed to get you to buy more of the authors spy stuff. Buy it if that's what you're looking for.
