Lost on the Appalachian Trail
Lost on the Appalachian Trail

Review:Kyle sure knows how to envelop you into his journey. It had just the right amount of humor and grit. It was fascinating to see encounters through his eyes. It is a must read for me, one of my favorite books. Read more

Fantasy of Frost (The Tainted Accords Book 1)
Fantasy of Frost (The Tainted Accords Book 1)

Review:I went into this book completely blind, but I trusted the person who recommend it. I was engrossed from the very first chapter. the Mystery behind the veil kept me guessing. I enjoyed our young protagonist, and couldn't get enough. Can't wait to read the next book. Excellent first book in a series. Read more

Boy21
Boy21

Review:Boy21 is a a good read that turns the darkness of the reality we all live in and in some ways, our individual burdens, into a message of hope. This theme is similar to other books that Matthew Quick has written. I personally liked "A Silver Lining Playbook" and "Sorta Like a Rock Star" slightly more. A similar theme can be found in Alicia Bisset's "A Pinch of Love" My understanding is the Silver Lining Playbook will be on screen late this fall. I read more than go to movies but this one may... The Little Book of Talent
The Little Book of Talent

Review:This has been a truly great book in helping me improve my skills, particularly piano practising. The results were immediate. For example, practising a section three times with 10 minutes breaks in between. It felt weird and so unreal to a point of suspecting auto-suggestion on my part. I am so glad I bought this book. A Thru-Hiking Adventure on the Pacific Crest Trail
A Thru-Hiking Adventure on the Pacific Crest Trail

Review:One of the better trail writers. I look forward to more from him. I enjoyed his story and style of writing. Unlike another Brit who wrote about his hike, I appreciated that he found a lot of things to be positive about concerning the USA. It was refreshing. I'm going to check out his website to learn more about what he is up to now. Read more

Catching Jordan (Hundred Oaks Book 1)
Catching Jordan (Hundred Oaks Book 1)

Review:This story is great because it helps you realize that once in a lifetime every girl is going to need a boy best friend because he will be there for you no matter what the situation may be. Even when you are in the toughest situation like you playing football and you twist your ankle on the field during the game he will run off the sideline to help you out. Read more

Crash
Crash

Review:Well now...the ratings are all over the place for this one and I suppose I could explain my reaction to the book is based on the fact I have been sick with a virus for a week and on lots of meds...so when I tell you that it kept me reading straight through for the entire day till I was done...
Very unique, very brutal, very violent and sexual...sex and violence and mental torture and what can I say...I totally love that stuff.
Read at your own risk but I am sure glad I did. I want to be ch... Read more

Grayson (ESPANOL) (Spanish Edition)
Grayson (ESPANOL) (Spanish Edition)

Review:I was assigned to annotate this book for school. This book cannot be described with words; it touches you with something beyond words. This girl and this whale have, by the end of a few hours, become amazing friends. At the end of the book, I just sat there processing it. I loved it. I rated it with 5 stars for reasons of amazing diction, beautiful grammer, and overall creativity. I recommend this for ANY age at all. Everyone will want to read this over and over again by the time they finish it.... Read more

Thoughts on Overtraining and Recovery in Strength Training
Thoughts on Overtraining and Recovery in Strength Training

Review:I recently finished this book by "skinny science geek", powerlifter/strongman, philospher, and author Matt Perryman. I will share my verdict at the end.

Every so often, an individual comes along to challenge a fundamental belief. This belief that Perryman's book discusses is the bedrock of the modern fitness industry: Work hard in the gym and go "recover" well, lest you spoil all your "gainz" and get injured.

Exercise is fantastic because it makes the body create it's very own "hea... Read more
