Just what any prepper needs to defend themselves and family if the SHTF. A wide variety of items that can be made with common items. WARNING: many of these items can be lethal to both the builder and any enemy.

I leafed through it substantially, and I quickly found that this most certainly isn't for civilian use unless one were equipped with military munitions, non-household chemicals (i.e. Potassium Nitrate, Copper Sulfide...)

Without proper chemicals, fuses, and blasting caps, there is significantly less one could synthesize from this book.
With that being said, it is a goldmine of information that is relatively practical and incredibly useful.

A great book for understanding the process and innovation (terrible as it is) behind IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices) like the ones used in the Boston Bombing. Wether your a survivalist or preper like me, this book is worth a thumb-through; even if you don't believe in the applications the designs are for. Know your enemy!

Generally interesting book. Little light for me on how possibly dangerous the process of making some of this is. With ready made safe products available probably would not bother ever attempting anything for handloading anyway. But it is interesting on how easy it appears to be. Everyone pretty much heard of the old farmer who blows tree stumps with homemade munitions. This would appear to be how they do it.

If you desire to explore the munitions building field, particularly in survival or unconventional warfare, this is your book. The table of content tells it all: explosivesand propellants (including igniters), mines and grenades, small arms weapoons and ammunition, motars and rockets, incendiary devices, fuses, detonators and delay mechanisms plus more. This U.S. ArmyHandbook provides everything a criminal, terroist, nut case, or a good ole American Red Neck needs for good or evil. Hope this helps. I purchased this book by misinterpretation of what I thought I was getting. It was informative for a guy like me. You get better insight into the world of boom and the simplicity with which destruction can be activated. This is NOT a fiction piece. Its hard core. Thought I was in special ops. training. Ha!

Thought I was ordering a survival technique book, but what I got was a make-shift ordinance book. Most items seem impractical to use in an emergency situation. The mistake was mine, but the book didn't impress me for an ordinance book for the military.

I ordered this weeks ago, primarily out of curiosity, but didn't open it until recently. Don't know what I expected, but wow!! I realize it's not for me, but neither do I feel right passing it on to someone else. If you're writing a book or doing research related to this, it will probably help you. For the run-of-the-mill person though, you'd be better off spending your money on something else.

This book has some crazy stuff. I expected all the information on explosives, but I did not expect the chapters about fabricating your own handguns, shotguns, and rifles from pvc and wood. This book is great to have if you want to learn about how to use every day items to arm yourself.

My biggest complaint is the way this book is printed. It's not one consistent shade. There are dark and light printed words in the same sentence. I love reading and have had other books like this but not to this extent. Shipping and packing were great

Only 4 stars.... Improvised munitions no... Doable at home yes.., this wouldn't be useful to a military man. If you are a nut case survivalist then yes buy this book, if you are interested in chemistry then maybe, if you curious about how salt peter was extracted and how chemical things could be done with bare materials then no. It lacks some chemistry that could be done bare bones. Most of the chemicals are extracted from chemicals that are store bought.... Yeah there was a description how to collect salt peter from earth, but there should have been several pages why it accumulated in places where animals or people whizzed a lot.

US Army manual TM 31-210 "Improvised Munitions Handbook" is a FREE publication because it is a US Gov't publication. It has already been paid for by US taxpayers (as ALL US Army manuals) and is available online in PDF format FREE OF CHARGE. If you have a printer, there is no reason you should be buying this book.

Purchased along with a few other similar books but am very remorseful for the purchases. For the very, very, few helpful tips it provides the danger isn't worth the risk. I'll just keep shooting my safe, manufactured and legal guns. Good in a post apoloptycic world but I probably would have lost the book by then anyways.
