Review:Well worth reading, especially for the novice and those that are thinking of or beginning touching the waters of stock trading. Peter has an established experience and very often we forget the importance of intuition and experience in the high technological world of todays Wall Street. Read more
Review:Several points are new to me. It makes me consider to look at value investing. I am half way through the book, it is more like mind setting for investing instead of solid calculation or number boundary to refer to. I am new in stock market. It is good for me to know what are the things I need be aware. Read more
Review:As other reviewers have pointed out, this (sixth) edition of Security Analysis includes a reprint of the popular 1940 edition (Warren Buffett's favorite), minus some chapters. The deleted chapters, which can be found in the CD that accompanies the book, make room for (new) general introductory remarks to this edition and also to the eight major parts of the book, written by a variety of modern commentators. If all you really want is the 1940 edition, then the better choice for you is probably ... Read more
Review:If you are into long term growth stocks and perspectives then this is a book to read. However for a swing trader like myself there wasn't as much usable content. Still a worth while read and would recommend Read more
Review:If you are new to Charlie Munger or value investing this is a great and even a fun introduction.
As other reviewers have said if you are long time follower of Munger, Buffet or Graham you may find little new material here but still it’s a fine book and I’m surprised at the low ratings.
In my view no matter what your experience or skill level the Munger and friends quotations generously included throughout are well worth the ticket price. Further the information here is timeless an... Read more
Review:I wrote the original review of this book many years ago and with the release of the new edition I wanted to add a few comments. Over the years the book since the book was published I always keep a copy of it close by as it has served as THE quick reference source for me whenever I want to review a topic that Warren has covered in his letter to shareholders. For instance dividends at Berkshire has been a big topic of conversation over the last couple of years and when I wanted to review what he... Read more
Review:In his new book, The One-Page Financial Plan, Carl Richards does what he does best, writes and visually conveys financial guidance in a down-to-earth, conversational and thought-provoking manner.
Carl's writing is direct and easy to read. The book includes many of his excellent financial illustrations, which he is uniquely known for. I highly recommend this book for those who want to learn more than the next hot stock. If you want to be more comfortable with your financial life and attain... Read more

Review:I got interested in gold and silver investing about 6 months ago and have been reading everything I could get my hands on. After a few books you start to see that there is a ton of common information shared between the majority of the material out there and I wasn't sure what I was going to get from Hunter Riley. I was extremely impressed with the amount of information and research I found in his book. It covers all the basics and the the fundamentals you need to know as well as the dos and don'... Read more
