Review:This book was really helpful for my first semester of calculus. It definitely helped me study and figure out the homework problems. However, it only gets three stars because it only goes to chapter 11, so now that I am at the end of the book, I have no help. I guess I have to drop another $65 to get the next version? Very frustrating but I don't think there is any other option. Read more
Review:The book arrived in great condition, and within the delivery date window. It is well-written, like any other university calculus textbook. It's concise, to the point, and very detailed. Plus, it's lightweight, so I can carry it to school easily! Read more

Review:Having left school and education many years ago I wanted to revisit the calculus. I found that this book explained it in a way which encompassed the thoughts and perspective of a maths lecturer to the subject. His explanation of how you analyze a problem and what treatments you should use are enlightening. I cannot say how closely this book corresponds to any specific curriculum but I imagine its coverage sufficient to explain most if not all topics within single variable calculus. If you need t... Review:It came pretty fast. Regardless of the edition, the material is always the same. I don't get graded for homework, so even if the professor says we can't use other editions or tittles, i'm just going to use it anyway. LOL... as if the professor is going to check our book editions Read more
Review:In the world of engineering it's essential to know basic mathematics and calculus. For those of us just starting out in technical math, I can recommend three outstanding references. You cannot do better than this matched set; "Calculus For Dummies" and "The Idiots Guide To Calculus". Both are wonderfully lucid and yet cover the essentials. They should be bought as a set since they approach many concepts in ways that differ yet in a cooperative fashion. If your just starting out with calculus or ... Read more
Review:I am currently a high school senior taking Calculus BC (which is essentially Calculus I) and this book supplements creative and fun applications of calculus that I sometimes am deprived from in class due to limited time. The best parts of this book, other than applications, is how Kline does not quickly rush into an equation, theorem, etc. He explains the notation, what the variables represent as a whole, rearrangement of the equations, and what they can be applied to. Then he proceeds to work t... Read more
Review:We were disappointed to receive the textbook which came with a soft green/gray cover, later we got to know that it is called "International Edition". Same contents but the paper quality is not as good as the standard textbook printed in America. Read more
