Review:This was the first book I purchased from Amazon for school, and it came in great condition. I was thinking that purchasing a used book would be a result of a stinky, beat up horror, but I was surely wrong! Read more
Review:This book complement The War of Art. The author goes a bit more deep into Turning Pro philosophy.
If you want to understand what it takes to turn pro and remain pro this is one of the books you should read, as well as the War of Art. Read more
Review:Any person who says this is just like Stephen King's IT, hasn't read the book.
This was a fun read, graphic and tense when needed, if a bit too short. I'd love to read more stories in this universe, and to see what other creepy things lurks under the bed. Read more
Review:The book itself is a great overview of finance (rating refers to the content of the book).
DO NOT BUY THE E-BOOK (negative stars?). This was my first attempt at buying a textbook in digital form, and I could not be more disappointed. I tried to save some money, but ended up buying a physical copy of the book, wasting $70, I love reading on the kindle app of my computer, but I find it an incredibly poor medium for textbooks. Unless I hear about a revolutionary update for the kindle app... Read more
Review:Great (and a very timely & relevant) book on this exciting and cutting edge domain. A much needed reference material on Deep Learning, covering the foundations, as well as offering a glimpse into the further research areas. Read more
Review:I would strongly dissuade anyone from buying this book. Approximately 50% of the book is mathematical notation and the author minimally defines the notation that he employs. This is a great book for someone that understands the notation used, but if you are not well versed in symbols then this might as well be Greek. The mathematics itself is not difficult, but the terms that he uses require substantial on-line research. The author also changes the meanings for certain symbols without informing ... Read more
Review:I recently purchased this book from Amazon and I was very pleased with the prompt delivery and reduced price compared to the school bookstore price, however I am not without complaints. I understand that this book commands a hefty price tag, it's huge! What I don't understand is why we are in the ninth edition of printing. Have there been that many advances in this field of study to require a new edition every couple of years. As far as I can tell it is just an excuse to sell new books; very li... Read more
Review:This book is pretty descent. The only reason that I bought it was for a class and the teacher said he'd use another book of the University let him but that this one was "ok. It is not good or bad, but mediocre." Read more
Review:100 years have passed since the publishing of this book and it still remains one of the most popular resources for learning calculus. Well, the reason for this is thus: Mr. Thompson has compiled a wonderfully simple text for a step-by-step comprehension of calculus.
His writing style is both light-hearted and insightful. He begins the book by explaining the terminology and notation used in calculus, albeit in a humorous way. He riffs on the so-called "math experts" of his time who took th... Read more
Review:Item is not as described. In description for this item it clearly states that this product comes with an access code but the item does not have this access code. The access code is a requirement for my class so this is a big disappointment. Someone should correct this listing to specify just book Read more
