Any person who says this is just like Stephen King's IT, hasn't read the book.
This was a fun read, graphic and tense when needed, if a bit too short. I'd love to read more stories in this universe, and to see what other creepy things lurks under the bed.

How bad can writing be before you stop 33% through a book which can’t get a refund for? This bad. Super slow progression. Non believable character reactions— everyone is either a demon or insane somehow. Timelines that make no sense. Monsters with super powers until it’s inconvenient. Plus every cliche possible in a pseudo horror book. Avoid this.

I was hooked from the beginning. Great story that really hooks you in and keeps you up late to see what happens next. Definitely a recommended read! I received a copy of this free with the option of leaving a review.

Vick’s characters are vivid and real. His mythos is intriguing, his horror scenes are horrific, his action is intense. This was worthy, I am primarily a Fantasy/SciFi reader. I only read exceptional and unique horror. Stephen King, Clive Barker, Brian Lumley, Ramsey Campbell, Peter Straub....and Erik Henry Vick has joined these ranks.

Erik Buck's book was wonderful. He captured me from the first pages then transported me to a realm where imagination (and horrible nightmares) dwell. Great book; superb writing; marvelous, ingenious story.

A thoroughly entertaining read and mostly well written. My one small gripe is that at some points it took a lot of concentration to keep the story and characters straight, but its a small complaint in what is a generally engaging story. I look forward to reading more of Mr Vick's books.

I have to admit, for the first couple of chapters I was not thrilled with the tone of the story, the way the young boys were presented. But as soon as the narrative switched to an adult story line, everything sharpened up, the author hit his stride, and I became engrossed in the story. Very entertaining with a couple of good twists. I'm glad I kept reading.

This book was awesome! When I read the beginning of it at the end of one of the authors other books, I couldn’t wait to get ahold of the entire thing. Hard to put down. Was really enjoyable, love all the characters. I can’t wait for more books from Erik Henry Vick

The author can definitely write and this is my favorite genre, but I was really bored with this story. Part of it was the story itself and part of it was that I never developed a feeling of caring for any of the characters.

Oneka Falls appeared as tranquil and poised as any other small town, but for a group of boys, this town is housing their town’s worst nightmare. The book bounces between the time when the boys were young, 1979, and when they are men, 2007. While the plot progresses and evolves, the reader is taken through the character’s physical and psychological upheave to the point that they can bodily feel their bones ache.
Demon King is a melody of terror, horror, mystery, and suspense one that takes you into the dark side where another sinister species hides in the shadows, or disguised and in plain sight, waiting for the chance, if you are lucky, to feed off your emotions. If not, you are in for an indescribable tortuous rendezvous that you have no hope to survive. Be ready for the captivating twists as the author takes you on this adrenalin filled horror ride with Toby and Benny and the other gripping characters.

Demon King
By Erik Henry Vick

Review
By Larry Sells

Demon King is not a tame book. It’s wild and feeds the imagination. It’s a book filled of horror and mayhem. You have demons of all kinds, and you people serving demons.
Erik Henry Vick writes as good Stephen Kings, but Vick scares me more. Demon King is like one of Stephen King’s earlier books. If I tell you which one, it will be no fun. You, the reader, will have to discover that yourself.
Vick shows his teeth in the horror field. His teeth cuts deep into the veins of fear as blood spreads fear on to the reader's imagination. The reader gets hooked. I know that I was hooked. I loved this book and recommend it.

Since I basically love everything Erik Henry Vick has written so far I didn't expect this one to be any different. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was even better than some of my past favorites. As a fan of "IT", both the movie, mini series and novel, I was especially intrigued with the back and forth of this book - as you skip from past to now, you slowly realize how this book is sucking you in and before you know it, you have to be at work in an hour and have not had any sleep......lol This one is a keeper!!

Excellent read. Although the characters may become a bit confusing, the detail brings them back to mind clearly and they are poignant and thoughtful. Some scary stuff of early and enduring nightmares. Recommend for horror fanatics
