Blue Highways: A Journey into America
Blue Highways: A Journey into America

Review:I gave it a 4 star for shipping on time and also for the great condition it was in. However, I have only just began to read it. So if your basing the reading I would rate it a 4 and if not rating the reading than a 5. Read more

The Most Scenic Drives in America - Newly Revised and Updated
The Most Scenic Drives in America - Newly Revised and Updated

Review:The actual book may be great but the kindle version is very poorly organized. There was no overall Table of Contents with links in the beginning to help readers go to a region quickly. Instead, I need to check out the western region first then the SW region, no index to the mid-west, at 65% then you find an index for the eastern region. Whoever organized this book for kindle did a terrible job. Read more

the Next EXIT 2018
the Next EXIT 2018

Review:A very good investment for travelers, especially motorhomes , pickups pulling trailers, Was given a well used older version by a friend. Decided very to get the newer one. in a motor home i usually take time to plan out places to get off for fuel food ect. Truck stops for gas eats, use the book and maps and commercial truck gps navigator. The next exit, has names of different places such as restaurants you can always call ahead and ask how acessable they are. Read more

Travels with Charley in Search of America
Travels with Charley in Search of America

Review:Liked the last portion about his observations in the South during desegregation, and how he presented various viewpoints from different characters perspectives objectively. Gave a nuanced understanding of the feelings about race from the human experience vs the moral and political. Read more

A Travel Guide to More Than 1000 Scenic and Interesting Places Still Uncrowded and Inviting

Review:I think my husband's parents will love this book. They like to travel by car, and explore the country. This book is really thick and a little big for taking in the car. It seems to be more of a trip planning book, maybe for the coffee table, than one you would take with you. Read more

The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak
The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak

Review:Gripping! Wonderful factual account of what happened in 1967. Too bad that we don't know what happened many years later, and too bad (spoiler alert!) that they never found all the bodies! What was really wonderful was the commitment everyone had in finding the climbers, and the agreement with everyone that weather on Denali can be a Death wish. Tho sad, and tragic...author did a great job of bringing the reader in. Keeping it real. Great read!~ Read more

and Crazy Passengers at 35 - Tales of Crashpads
and Crazy Passengers at 35 - Tales of Crashpads

Review:Enjoyed this light, funny book. Life as a flight attendant is like meeting an old friend you've know for years when you step into a plane and meet your new sister/brother flight attendants. I think its like that because you have to rely on each other in emergencies and troubles throughout the flight. There is an instant connection. It works, nearly all the time you can count on each other. Read more

The Day the World Came to Town - 9/11 in Gander

Review:I loved everything about this book. It has restored my faith in the human race. Such loving and generous people were so amazing, I could hardly believe what I was reading. It has warmed my heart, and I know it is making me want to be a better friend to mankind. Read more

500 of the World's Most Spectacular Trips - Drives of a Lifetime

Review:This book has some nice pictures. However, many of the places shown are locations most Americans will never get to drive through. If you just want to look at pictures, this book is nice. If you want to find fun drives that you can actually do, there is not many here. Read more

Long Way Round
Long Way Round

Review:So these guys want to have an adventure. Great idea. Then they decide somebody else should pay for the trip, because god forbid they spend their own money. Then they decide a company should give them bikes to do the trip, because god forbid they use their own bikes. Then they take a support crew...

It has interesting parts about people they meet and such that kept me interested. However, I was lost on the whole "adventure" aspect because everything was laid out for them / paid for / p... Read more
