Enjoyed this light, funny book. Life as a flight attendant is like meeting an old friend you've know for years when you step into a plane and meet your new sister/brother flight attendants. I think its like that because you have to rely on each other in emergencies and troubles throughout the flight. There is an instant connection. It works, nearly all the time you can count on each other.

I really enjoyed this book of a woman going through her flight attendant experiences. Some made me laugh & others made me cringe. I gave it 4 stars because it seemed she would go of course a bit but that wasn't a deal breaker. I found myself not wanting the book to end. I would recommend this book to any one who travels often, is considering a flight attendant screed, or just like a to talk an listen about people's irrational behavior.

I dont read many books. I normally fall asleep just after a paragraph or two. This book was exciting, informative and intriguing. A very good read. Good luck on future books and to a very happy life with your husband and family. Thank you!

I have absolutely enjoyed reading this book. As Heather tells the many wild and entertaining experiences she has witnessed as a flight attendant, I felt as though I was there right along with her. Cruising Altitude shows the flying public what it really takes to be a FA and all of the hard work they have to put in. You would never imagine how hard they have to work and the strict rules in which they have to follow.

This book will make you think next time you fly, and maybe you will even appreciate your flight attendants more. :-)

I just finished this yesterday. It was OK, but not what I expected from previous reviews. It is an eyeopener to the career of flight attendants, but I was looking for a "juicer" read. I did enjoy how the author wrote though. She embodies humor and sarcasm in her writing.

I have always traveled overseas a great deal for business and pleasure. I now will be even more tolerant of the job air hostesses are doing. I will always go to the galley my self, rather than ring the call button. Very readable book. Loved it!

I really liked this slice of life book. It never became boring. If she writes another book, I would read it. I will also be extra nice to flight attendants in the future. They have a tough job, even with the perks.

Great Book, I purchased it for my daughter, who just started as a flight attendant. Like so many of us, I thought being a flight attendant was a glamorous, fun occupation where one gets to fly all over the world....and GET PAID for it. Ha, little did I know. This book is a "must read" for all, aspiring to live the adventurous life. Heather Poole's book "Cruising Attitude: Tales of Crashpads, Crew Drama, and Crazy Passengers at 35,000 Feet" is an insider's look at what it's like to work for an airline....I would venture to say MOST airlines. The book contains detailed stories and many tips of a flight attendant's trial and tribulations. I discovered lots of interesting tidbits about the training and life of today's flight attendant. As a passenger, I always treated all flight attendants with respect and courtesy, but after reading this book, I will go out of my way to make life easier for them.

Loved this book! Read for book club and was truely entertained. Funny, LOL, in places. Wonderful! Be careful, you may get stairs from others if you are reading in public from the sometimes uncontrolled laughter that will come.

Very good read. Provides a humorous, easy flowing look at the flight attendant life while going deep enough that you learn about the industry. Was reading this around a flight and found it dead on as I watched my own attendants and could see things they were doing exactly as Heather describes them.

The "behind the scenes" stories were interesting. I learned a lot about the flight industry through the author's entertaining tales. It is a very easy read (good "beach read") and not too deep. A great escape book when you don't feel like something too heavy.

Very entertaining book, I got it right before I became a flight attendant so I could learn a little bit about what to expect. It could be a little more well-written, but kept me captivated and laughing. A great light read.

Heather Poole will keep your attention as she explains the ever evolving life as a flight attendant.
I purchased this book to help overcome my fear of flying. Heather brings a sense of normalcy to flying for me personally.
Hopefully she is serious about a second book.

This book gives a pleasant, light hearted insight in training and life of a flight attendant. It shows that this so-called glamorous life is hard work and underpaid.
You will have more appreciation for your cabin staff after reading.

Not sure what motivated me to download this book, but it was a good choice. Felt like a personal conversation with a good friend. Loved her stories and insider perspectives. Four women I know are flight attendants. One a dear friend in Spain who blessed me with her friendship while she was living here. Miss seeing you Blanca. Next time I'm in Madrid hope we can meet for coffee.

If you are a Flight Attendant/Stewardess or even thing of working on an airplane, it is a must read.
It brought back a lot of bad and some good memories for me, now retired, after flying for 33 year.
I am so glad that I read it, my hat off to Heather Poole.

I've read several books like this written by flight attendents and found them very funny. This missed the mark with seemingly endless whinning about living conditions, poor food, long flights, etc. While I was hoping for an amusing account of the trials and tribulations of an airline crew I got instead a tired rendition of day-to-day life of a twenty-something unhappy with her life. Maybe if it had been shorter with more accounts of crazy passengers it would have worked for me. All-in-all, it was plain and simply boring.

I agree with other reviewers. This is a must read for frequent flyers. After reading this book you will definitely have more respect for flight attendants. Why anyone would take this job considering the low pay, the long working hours, the lack of a stable home life, the insanely ridiculous airline rules and having to deal with the flying public on a daily basis, is beyond me. It was fascinating to read about the training flight attendants go through. This is not a book with a lot of salacious gossip. It is a book about how hard flight attendants work to best serve the flying public.
