Review:ICC system of organization & cross referencing seems to be set up so that the authors can prove how obtuse they can make something. I have worked with Building Codes for 40-years and they just seem to get more illogical in organization each issue. Going to multiple locations to try to piece together the requirements for an issue often leads to varying interpretations of the intent to no one's benefit. Read more

Review:I am working my way through this series after having owned the first few books for some years. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about it and didn't think I would like them at first. However, I have found the plot to be very engaging and the books are extremely well written. Furthermore, I am actually learning about scripture just by reading them. And the interweaving of the scripture is very well done-- you learn as the characters learn. I am looking forward to finding time to finish t... Read more
Review:Provides information that has not been reported that can help us all understand what happened to Black people in this country and the implications for the future as well as repeating it in the present. It is a very time read. I wish educators, especially history teachers would read this book as they are the front line in providing perspective to the rest of us. Read more
Review:I definitely enjoyed the story, though not as much as the first. Perhaps that's because there was more going on. I had to go back and re-read paragraphs multiple times to try and figure out what had happened and how we had gotten where we were. More distracting however, is Mahan's subtle needling of women in the first book turning into full-blown misogynist sentiments in this one. This happened several times, and completely threw me out of the story every time. Further, what inspired me to write... Read more
Review:An engaging storyline and we'll crafted protagonist coupled with the thrill of character development / levelling.
One of the best lit rpg sagas I've read - waiting with bated breath for the next installment! Read more
Review:Sensing my frustration with the book that wasn't getting written, a friend wrote the words 'Al Watt. 90 Day Novel' on the back of her business card and gave it to me with an emphatic, "Check it out." One of Al's workshops began the following week, and the next thing I knew I was writing the book I'd put off for over a year.
Part of Al Watt's gift is his ability to articulate the writing process from a non-analytical point of view. Much has been written about writing, but with few exception... Read more
Review:This is a charming story and Forster gives a treat with character development as the story unfolds in Italy and England. George's father is a man of wisdom and, hopefully, we all gain from his message and insights to Lucy. Read more
Review:This is the first grammar book that I actually read all the way through. Prior to this, I didn't even know what adverbs or conjunctions are.
I had an English teacher say my writing is perfect. Off course it's not, but I was happy because it's my first time receiving such compliment.
I learned from this book that English is actually easy and pleasant to learn if you have a great teacher like Susan Thurman. I can't remember struggling at all, and I actually had a pleasant time.
Review:So this book is supposed to be written by a feminist but as a man, I enjoyed it. It shows the errors of medicine of her day. While you read this remember that the narrator is not the same person as the author. Gilman was a tough woman who could get things done. Her work is great! Read more
