The Moonstone (Penguin Classics)
The Moonstone (Penguin Classics)

Review:I read this terrific early mystery many years ago, and I wanted a new copy (with larger print) to replace my yellowed old mass market copy. According to the dimensions in the description, this edition appeared to be a nice trade paperback. However, it is one of those print-on-demand books. It appears that a small-print edition was scanned and printed onto larger pages, because there are very wide white margins surrounding the text. I had not looked inside until I started to read the book, so it ... Read more

Willmington's Guide to the Bible
Willmington's Guide to the Bible

Review:The book is out standing clear and to the point. However, if you don't look up all the scripture references, it won't make much sense to you, and it will be hard to understand. The scripture references makes the book come alive and become exciting when you see the crimson thread of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ weave its way thru the Bible from Genesis 1:1 thru Revelation 22:21. The Science of Interstellar
The Science of Interstellar

Review:For those of you who, like myself, absolutely loved this beautiful film and were deeply affected by it's mysterious feeling of venturing into "the great unknown", this book is a MUST BUY.

I love the idea of space travel and finding out what else is "out there", but unfortunately I am not the next Stephen Hawking, so I need my hand held through learning about "out there".

Kip Thorne does an amazing job on laying the groundwork on the basics in the opening chapters. He then applies t... Read more

Bridget Jones's Diary: A Novel

Review:A very funny and (sorry, Mom) accurate portrait of the life of the modern singleton. Bridget made me giggle, cringe, and grieve for her, often in the same day. Now if only I can get my *own* life to have such a happy ending... Read more
