I absolutely loved this book! Timothy Keller is easy to follow and understand. In this book he gives deeper insight into the life of Jesus in a way that I connected with. I would recommend this book to anyone it is still changing my life.

I found this to be a very thoughtful explanation of Jesus' words in the gospel of Mark. It was helpful for me in understanding the meaning and was not one of those expositions that leave you with no new or deeper thoughts. I would recommend it to anyone desiring to go deeper.

Keller's writing is inspirational and intriguing! He brings us closer to Jesus and his life, not only through Mark's narrative but through supporting witnesses and writings. Easy to read, yet digs deep. Gives rise to questions and their answers!

Well worth the time to discover hidden gems in the life of Jesus. Following Keller's insights led me to a renewed sense of what Love is, what religion is versus the good news, and a deepening desire to know the King.

I recommend this book to anyone ready to explore discipleship. It is both academic and Scripturally sound. Familiar passages take on deeper meanings as geographical, cultural, and historical backgrounds are presented.

Tim Keller is an apologetic genius-contending beautifully for the existence and intricate place in history for Jesus Christ. Tim brings his indispensable sound theology to an age of post moderns desperately needing a savior. Must read, must keep as part of your library, buy a print copy for all your doubting friends and family!

I urge every Christian and those who are not Christian to read this awesome book. It truly brings us the beauty of love in a a dark world and helps the overly rational side of our minds to see why Jesus had to make the ultimate sacrifice of love for us by His death and resurrection

Anything written by Tim Keller is absolutely the best. Having had the privilege of seeing him preach in NYC three times, I particularly
love his books. They have so much substance and are fascinating. I recommend ANY of his books...there isn't a bad one in the bunch!

This book explains the story of Jesus through simple narrative and compelling evidence. It is good for me as my faith is waning and longing for a boost to anchor the gospel and the story of Jesus into my heart again. I would recommend this book to Christians, or who have just received Christ, and trying to find their way into the bible to understand more about who Jesus is as a person as well as how he is a God at the same time.

What an awesome look deep into the scriptures and the life of Christ and what He was truly trying to teach. This a Bible study as it should be done and Keller is so gifted in his ability to understand and convey the meaning of scripture.
This is a must read over and over.

Excellent book about the life of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us on the cross.
It helped me to go deeper to understand the inner depths of what implications the cross has in out lives and beyond this life.

While not a complete commentary on the book of Mark, Keller's work made the Gospel of Mark come alive to me. Great read. In fact, I rarely read through books more than once, but this is one of the few I've returned to.

This was a well thought out book. There were many points of agreement and some of disagreement or question. I wrote more notes in the margins of this book than most any of the books like this I have read.
