Review:The scientific details embedded in the account create an understanding beyond the usual non-fiction book . The author helps you see and feel the events in the lives of the people involved and gives you a deeper appreciation of their struggles and successes. California Road and Recreation Atlas (Benchmark Atlas)
California Road and Recreation Atlas (Benchmark Atlas)

Review:This map is quite thorough. Shows elevation, and quite up to the minute roads and highways. I wish it came in a spiral back, to make it easier to open the pages, and put less wear on the map itself. Read more

Review:John Green is a great author. This is one favorite book he has written so far. I can't wait for the movie. This is a great book for all ages and would make a great gift to anyone that enjoys reading. The item arrived fast and well packaged. I couldn't believe the prices of his books on amazon versus my local bookstore. I will buy more of John Greens books in the future and would even give one as a gift. Very good read and kind of strange. Read more

Nine Years in the Rocky Mountains 1834-1843 - Journal Of A Trapper

Review:I have been reading this book over and over again since 1977 when I was a wilderness ranger for the US Forest Service in NW Wyoming. Its a wonder journal of travel and in a few instances hair raising escape. Its great for reading a few pages at a time as one camps out in the Rockies, Yellowstone Region and visualize the life of a trapper moving scross this landscape. I lost my old copy so I bough this one. On the downside this book is made for people with microscopic vision. Why did they print s... Read more

A Journey Across the American Southwest - Cities of Gold

Review:Great book! I love this author and have consistently read his fiction (with Lincoln Child) but his non-fiction is so well researched. I live in Arizona and I've never learned so much about this state and Southwest until I read this book. Highly recommended to everyone who loves history well written. Read more

Easy To Read: Washington State Map
Easy To Read: Washington State Map

Review:Its a folding Florida map with closeups of certain sections so you have some low resolution city maps as well. Works for a folding paper car map, Amazon also has the Delorme book that covers all of Florida (a big book, but more resolution) and individual book style city maps if you need more city resolution. Cool Gray City of Love: 49 Views of San Francisco

Review:Gary Kamiya is an excellent writer, so the reading is easy and the subject matter compelling, i already love SF so i enjoyed his take on many places i already know, and then many that i did not.
Most people don't need help loving SF but this will deepen your appreciation. If you don't know the City at all or not well, this is a great guide. He walked pretty much the full 49 square miles so he knows it intimately.
Very enjoyable read Read more

Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails 2nd Edition

Review:I bought this book to help plan mineral collecting trips when visiting AZ. The color coded trail ratings are very helpful for my planning as I am more interested in getting to my destination than challenging my vehicle. I have not yet used the book but am looking forward to putting it to good this winter. From what I have seen thus far I highly recommend it! Read more
