Review:Way to go John Ringo!! If I'm being entirely honest, i liked this book more than any of LC's series since the first MHI. i like a series that has a central character. i like to watch that character grow and learn as time and trauma dictate. this is a really fun and interesting start, i hope chad stays alive long enough to develop. i mean we all know he dies in the end, but then, don't we all? Review:Just finished up Gust Front, and am now reading the sequel. I really like this book, and the series. After the climax from A HYMN BEFORE BATTLE, this follow-u[ started off slow. A lot of build-up and fluff, but once the actions started, it was non-stop. I wish they'd turn this series into a movie! Read more
Review:Detailed sex scenes are nice. I picked up this book FOR the erotica... But the male lead is SO ANNOYING. He's so cocky and arrogant... Yeah, he loooves the female lead and is convinced she's perfect for him.... But he just treats her like 'enough sex, and she'll just have to see reason! She'll fall in love with me!'
It's really frustrating. I stopped at 40% of the book. He's a beefy idiot with a 'nerdy quirk' that felt thrown in to give him a cheap layer of 'depth'. I couldn't read this b... Read more
Review:Wow! I am so happy to have discovered Katie MacAlister. She does what most authors cannot - mixes sexiness, romance and humor to create a perfect recipe for a book you absolutely cannot put down. In GGV, you also get a dip into the paranormal. This is not a "carbon copy" of Feehan's work (as one reviewer mistakenly believes); Rather, it is Katie's own brand of "semi-vampires" - Dark Ones. And boy are they yummy! What sets Katie's version of the paranormal apart is the combination of her sharp wi... Read more
Review:Pay attention to every one star review written about this book - they are all true! I only made it half way through and then realized I was embarrassed reading it and dreading turning to the next page. Thank goodness I only spent .99 on it. Read more
Review:Wow. This one really surprised, as well as disappointed me. I'm a HugE EU fan, as well as a fan of Aaron Allston. But..... I just drudged through "Outcast" and am even wondering if the EU is over? I've read, in order from "Into The Void" skipping nothing.
Someone please tell me this is worth sticking with? This book was awful. I felt Aaron & Troy (and no Traviss, the worst EU novels) would be good? Now? IDK? Read more
Review:Almost impossible to read in the Kindle format. You have to go back and forth between the questions and answers. The answers do not reference the questions they belong to, so you keep flipping back and forth. Good information, terrible delivery. Read more
Review:I love Courtney Milan's heroines and her insight into the struggles of the common people and the women in 19th century England. This book has strong leads, a great dialogue and very interesting insights into scientific research. Read more
Review:Our heroine meets the hero when they are young and he becomes a cousin by way of a marriage. They don't get along all that well as the years go by, but well enough for him to teach her to fence.
Her odious uncle is planning to force her to marry one of his political cronies. Our hero returns for a visit while on leave. He realizes the problem she faces as she has never had the desire to wed.
And he has been in love with her since first seeing her. So he kisses her when he knows... Read more
Review:Eve Silver is an absolute master of weaving a story. You fall in love with the characters and they become part of your conscious thoughts. The story lines are amazingly well thought out. The mystery and suspense makes you not want to put the book down and when I'm done I mourn the loss of the characters in my day...thats when o know I've read a good book. It's my third time through this series and so far book 1 was still amazing. Please please Eve Silver continue your gothic romance mystery... Read more
