Review:Snyder's writing style is fluid and at times almost lyrical--colorful, vivid descriptions abound and I felt as if I could have been right there in Ixia. The story was nothing short of brilliant--one of just a few truly original (at least, to me) books I've read lately. (That list includes The Hunger Games and Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely books.) Poison Study had me hooked from the beginning and I had a hard time putting this one down--let's just say it's a good thing there's not much going on at... Read more
Review:All the books in the Shatter Me series are wonderful. I've found myself 'chomping at the bit' for the next one. As with all great stories, I'm saddened that there is only one more book coming out. I'll be alright thou, I'll just reread them :) Read more

Review:Once I saw this cover, I knew I had to have this book and, boy, did it amaze me. It's hard to properly describe this book, but the words "innovative" "unique" and "one-of-a-kind" come to mind. Not to mention the fact that the magnificent world-building surpassed all expectations. The very concept of weaving the world is unique in itself, and it's easy for any fantasy lover to be entranced by the world that Albin weaved for us. This book is beautifully complex and enthralling, I easily got throu... Read more
Review:I was a little shocked, I didn't think that George RR Martin did anything in less than 150 pages. it's an interesting story, but it doesn't really seem to fit with any of his other works. All in all, a good purchase I'd say. Read more
Review:Although a bit slow at the beginning, The Law of Tall Girls definitely pays off at the end. Perfect for fans of Kasie West or Sarah Dessen, this books follows Peyton, a very tall girl (over 6') who has spent most of her life hiding. She keeps secrets from her dad, her classmates, etc. She's self-conscious, embarrassed, and worried. She's dated guys of all heights, but is really sick of looking down at her dates, she wants to be swept off her feet (literally) and adored in a way she assumes i... Read more
Review:EXTRAORDINARY MEANS by Robyn Schneider seems at first glance to be just another THE FAULT IN OUR STARS-esque love story; it follows Lane and Sadie, two teens who are sent to Latham House because they’re suffering from a new drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis and need to be separated from the general populace. However, I am glad to say that the similarities to TFIOS end there.
At the start of the book, Sadie is not a fan of Lane because of their experience in summer camp together years ... Read more
Review:Loved the characters in this series!! The world's I visited in these books were fantastic!! So sad when it was over!! I felt like the ending left alot unanswered!! What happened to Terry? What happened to Lena? Did Mei and John have kids? That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5!! Read more
Review:The first two thirds of this YA thriller are well worth the price of admission and include all the requisite elements of jeopardy - a spunky teen still reeling from the confusion/devastation of her mum's inexplicable disappearance five years previous, a wealthy, control-freak matron in an isolated mansion replete with sneaky servants, and a hottie boy who may or may not be part of the malevolent machinations to keep the heroine off-balance. (Oh, and there's also an inquisitive kitty that a tad t... Read more
Review:I can offer to the author, this book and it's sequel, is that The Skull Throne has sat unread, in my kindle library, while immersed in Davis Ashura's world of Arisa. I was surprised and delighted by the scope of the story, it's characters, magical system, culture and the many plot twists! The story and characters would not let me put the book down. The viewpoints and insights shared by the various characters added to the depth of the story. This book comes highly recommended. It will surprise... Read more
