Review:Stumbled upon this book because it was free. Loved it! I'd never read Lauren Royal before but I loved the way she incorporated humor, tragedy, love, drama, etc. Love, love, loved it.
*side note....I thought the end was a bit drawn out. Read more
Review:As someone who has dabbled in many programming languages, I was looking more for a guided tour of the Python language than an intro to programming that happened to use Python, and Python Crash Course was just what I was looking for. I especially appreciated the section on code testing, which is almost never covered in beginner books and should be. The author has also taken the time to cover the two versions of Python you might find in the wild, and also provide instructions for Windows, Linux an... Read more

Review:Easy to read and understand but too long reading sometimes. Really interesting! making the rest of the series attempt, to continue to read. And skip some paragraphs with no worries you might loose something. Nice book overall. Read more
Review:Enjoyed the question at the heart of this book. Would I want to loose my soul to live forever, never aging, and always being able to be connected to others? Would I give up my soul to do it? I'm not sure I want an answer to those questions. Great idea and a really good read. Nice set up for the next book in the series. Read more
Review:the best book review, i think, is letting other readers know that i'm buying the next book in the series. here, that's a given.
how refreshing to read a free eBook that, not only can i finish reading it, but the solid writing and equally solid storytelling propel me on to the next book. i don't mind paying for books, but i wish more eBook writers earned their pay before publishing. granted, times are hard and money is tight, but if i stumble over several typos and grammar gaffes in as ma... Review:This uneven and meandering follow-up to Tithe has more of the same infantile adults (are there any other kind in Black's world?), misguided teen "rebels" and shocking content, along with a clunky attempt to address substance abuse.
Faerie drugs are bad, m'kay. We get it.
And, once again, most of the characters are so unlikable you don't really care what happens to them.
Somewhere in this mess of a story is a modern day Beauty and the Beast, only the beauty goes out of her w... Read more
Review:The Fairy Tale Romance Collection by Melanie Dickerson is a fabulous collection of stories based on popular fairy tales. All five stories are beautifully written and very engaging. They don’t obviously resemble the stories on which they are based, but it’s been a while since I’ve read a book that made me think. I highly recommend this collection for any age group!
****Story #1, The Healer’s Apprentice, is a very different take on the tale of Sleeping Beauty. In fact, it took more than... Read more
Review:I was absolutely happy when I learned about this book! I loved The Iron Queen and all the books before it, but it was impossible for me to believe that could be the end. And so I found that there was this book, The Iron Knight, and I was ecstatic! I must admit, I was Team Puck throughout most of the series, but then I read the third book and I was Team Ash, and I after reading this book I don't think that'll change a bit. The book is done really well, and I think how Julie Kagawa did Ash's point... Read more
Review:The book deals with a boy who witnessed his father murdered by an Epic (a person with superpowers). Said Epic became the dictator of Chicago. The whole world is controlled by Epics, none of which seems to be good.
The book is an interesting twist on superhero stories. Instead of the superheroes protecting civilians, the super powered people take over.
Besides the book having already a great hook, the book is a really fun read. The book follows a group of civilians who try to take d... Read more
