Keep (Seaside Pictures Book 2)
Keep (Seaside Pictures Book 2)

Review:I decided to revisit the Seaside series and realized Zane's book was out! Love these guys and their dynamic! Zane and Fallon are exactly what the other needs even though they each try to sabotage their "us." Mallow on! Read more

Toxic (The Ruin Series, Book 2)
Toxic (The Ruin Series, Book 2)

Review:I really love the story lines in this series. There are moments that I wonder how the characters can fall so deeply in love so quickly and then I remember that I love that part about these books. Powerful love and challenging relationships. Gabe's story is a tough one. With the support of Wes and Keirsten as well as Lisa and now Saylor....Gabe can break free and be who he wants to really be. Check this series out...it is a sweet read. (P.S. Have tissues close.) Read more

Tear (A Seaside Novel Book 1)
Tear (A Seaside Novel Book 1)

Review:I really liked this book...even more than I expected to. I usually read books with a little more "spice" aka sex in them, but I didn't miss it at all because the storyline was solid and didn't need it to make a great story. Read more

The Consequence of Revenge
The Consequence of Revenge

Review:I never read (actually I listened) Van Dyken before and have no idea how I even chose this book, but now I'm a huge fan. The story is just different from all the usual romance formats which is really refreshing. Moreover, I have never before had to make sure I wasn't in public when I listened to it because I couldn't stop laughing out loud. A real special surprise. Read more

The Consequence of Seduction
The Consequence of Seduction

Review:The Consequence of Seduction was another laugh out loud, spicy, sweet romance in the Consequence Series! I have been a die-hard fan since I read the first one, The Consequence of Loving Colton, and I was finally glad to get Reid’s story in my hands.

Poor Reid…he’s been through so much trauma and turmoil (although it’s pretty darn funny!), so I was happy he was going to get his shot at happiness. Reid’s movie career is really taking off, but he is off his seduction game since his altercati... Read more

Heirs of Empire (The Scourwind Legacy)
Heirs of Empire (The Scourwind Legacy)

Review:Surprisingly boring story, for this author. Beginning drew me in, but it was a bit of a struggle to finish. Usually this authors writing paints a clear picture in the imagination, but I had a hard time understanding all the sail related passages. Read more

Nameless (Broken City Book 1)
Nameless (Broken City Book 1)

Review:I was really impressed with this story and LOVED the character Allura who has been living in a cell for most of her life, all that she can remember. I love the three guys she encounters. I don't want to spoil the story but this was a unique slant on a dystopian tale that has some magical properties too, I am thinking. Can't wait to get into the second book. Read more

Book 1 - The Last Dragonslayer - The Chronicles of Kazam
Book 1 - The Last Dragonslayer - The Chronicles of Kazam

Review:Jasper Fforde has a unique way of looking at things. The mixture of the familiar, and somewhat bland for those of us with knowledge of some of the settings, with the outrageously bizarre is the hallmark of this author. Those who have read any of the nursery crimes or Thursday Next books will not be disappointed Read more

Study in Slaughter (Schooled in Magic Book 3)
Study in Slaughter (Schooled in Magic Book 3)

Review:This book did an excellent job wrapping up a loose end from the first book, and following up with the massive changes going on throughout the world. The only reason why I am not giving it Five stars is that I do not think that the story progressed enough. Emily simply was not nearly as active as I would have thought she would have been by now. This issue is not nearly as bad as it is with Harry Dresden, but it still exists thus taking away a star.

That said, I love this series passionatel... Read more

The School of Hard Knocks (Schooled in Magic Book 5)
The School of Hard Knocks (Schooled in Magic Book 5)

Review:This was interesting but at times it felt a little slow for me. I believe the fans of this series can now grasp the making of spells, hexes, and charms. Maybe a little less time on their classroom mechanics might make the story move smoother. Read more
