I decided to revisit the Seaside series and realized Zane's book was out! Love these guys and their dynamic! Zane and Fallon are exactly what the other needs even though they each try to sabotage their "us." Mallow on!

When RVD shocked us with this surprise release, I was thrilled. I became smitten with Zane in Capture and couldn’t wait to have his story. I was swept into this quirky romance from the first pages of the chance encounter between Fallon and Zane. My adoration continued to grow throughout the book. Zane is hilarious and his banter with Fallon were some of my favorite moments.

“You are seriously the most confusing and irritating person I’ve ever met.”
“You forgot sexy.”
“On purpose.”

While humor and fun is usually expected from RVD, I was pleasantly surprised at the emotional aspect as well. There is a side to Zane that took me by surprise and seeing his struggles made the story quite powerful. The balance of emotion and playfulness is perfect. RVD always seems to know how to make her readers laugh through intense moments

“…sometimes the ones we think are the strongest are the most frail.”

As with most RVD books, there is a strong supporting cast with a mixture of beloved faces from previous books and new characters. I adored Fallon’s parents immensely and they add humor and a deeper sense of love and connection of family that Zane so desperately needs. Keep can be read as a complete stand alone, but the epilogue sets up nicely for the next installment. If you are looking for a lighter read with that will make you smile and tug at your heart strings, I recommend giving Keep a try.

Keep (Seaside Pictures Book 2) by Rachel Van Dyken brings a while new spin to the saying "Home is where the heart is."

Zane has it all... A famous musician, lots of money, women throwing them at his feet and a bag of marshmallows. What could possibly go wrong?

Fallon is looking to go through life as just a normal person doing normal things, but everything about her is anything but. Dreams of going to college are put on hold and forced her to stay in Seaside for another year. What she didn't expect was to run into Zane Andrews, singer, sex God and marshmallow addict. What she didn't expect was a kiss from said rockstar.

Will the chance meeting lead to a happily ever after or will the secrets that are left unsaid ruin the romance before it has a chance to build?

Keep is hands down, one of the best books I have read from RVD. It deals with real issues. Issues I'm sure we all have dealt with at some point in our lives. Anxiety is real and comes in all shapes and sizes. So read this book. Go through the emotions and fall in the love with the characters. Enjoy the banter, the excuses, the friendships and the heartache. Enjoy the story of Zane and Fallon and read how both overcome their fears.

Rachel Van Dyken's Keep is everything. It's proof that you can fall in love in the matter of just one kiss. Zane and Fallon's (how much do you love her name!?!) story sucked me in so intensely that I found myself unable to put it down.

Rachel didn't take the safe and easy route with their story. She went outside the norm, and still proved that love stories come in all different forms. Zane was a different kind of broken. Not your typical rocker struggles, he had a life - a past - that he couldn't escape from. No, his demons were far worse than just reeling from too many drugs and women. His demons followed him everywhere, and at such a deep magnitude that they were stiffling.

Fallon was even far from your typical "plain girl." She was funny, smart, sweet - the whole package, yet she was fierce. She intrigued me so much. From her quirky moments to her strength and transformation, I loved reading her so much.

Congrats to Rachel on yet another incredible masterpiece. Thank you for sharing your talent and giving us Zane and his realness, one of my favorite characters ever.

This book is about the world known rockstar, Zane. Known as "Saint" in the book he's on a path of curing his writer's block and hopefully finding a better alternative to his obsession to marshmallows. This is when he meets Fallon, a "hot nerd", as he puts it, who helps cure even the deepest demons in him. No, it's not your "rockstar falls for typical girl" kind of route. There's actually depth in not only Zane's character but also Fallon (and her family!) which helps every single reader relate to the book.

From the first page to the very last page you never can expect what's going to happen. One liners, snippy quirks, a few punches throw and a story of a couple that literally makes it through the sand ants to a better life.

May I say, if you don't read this book, you may possibly need to check your mental state.
Again, Rachel Van Dyken doesn't hold back in another story that completely captures your mind, heart and soul.

I really enjoyed reading this book, so happy that it released early! I loved watching Zane and Fallon's relationship develop - and Fallon's parents were hilarious, I smiled reading every scene involving her Dad! Rachel Van Dyken has become one of my "must read" authors - her books that I've read have all been a fantastic storyline in which I've experienced many different emotions whilst reading - happiness ( lots of laughter, loved the humour in this book ), sadness, heartbreak, and throw in a little bit of angst as well. Thank you for another great read!!

With a surprise release, Rachel Van Dyken once again delivered a beautiful story about an emotional struggle, a struggle that many people live with on a daily basis. Immediately captured by Zane in his appearance in Capture, I could not wait to dive in and find out what drove him and his crazy personality—I mean who is this real man behind the rock star god with a fetish for marshmallows? So when Rachel combined his high level of energy, witty banter, and deep emotional secret with the ever observant, logical, honest, and down-to-earth Fallon, a local Seaside girl, I had to give a little cheer and wait for the fireworks. These two were perfect for each other, even if they could not see it.

In true Rachel fashion, Keep delivers a quirky romance that contains great banter while touching on difficult topics. I was surprised by Zane’s struggle, but loved the emotional level it brought to the story. And get ready to fall in love with Fallon. She is incredibly real, innocent, and yet stronger than most.

Keep is the second book in the Seaside Pictures Book Series by Rachel Van Dyken. Are you ready to confess? I am. It is a contemporary romance featuring Zane Andrews (Saint) a rock star with a very unusual personality and addiction. Zane came to Seaside to decompress from the pressure of his past and his present. Through a series of events he meets local nerdy girl Fallon Miller. She becomes the balm to his soul. I can't express enough the emotional journey this book leads you on. It's funny and it's heartbreakingly real. Most of all, it has it's HEA. This is one of those books that has you continually checking the percentage of book left to read because you just don't want it to end. Ever. It can be read as a stand alone even though there are characters from the Seaside Series and Ruin Series throughout. I recommend the Eagle Elite Series and The Bet Series by this author as well.

I really enjoy Rachel Van Dyken's stories and the Seaside series is one of my favorites. Keep is a wonderful addition to the Seaside family. Zane's story is lighthearted and fun, but also emotional and heartwrenching. I really enjoyed getting to know Zane and Fallon - they are wonderful together. One of those couples where they are better together than apart. The original Seaside crew is always fun to read about - Alec, Demetri, & Jay are at their best. I would have loved to have seen more of the girls though.

Zane's character is complex (to put it mildly) He's not your typical rock star and he's not your typical guy either. His image is pretty much the opposite of his true character, but not completely.

Fallon is a character that I could relate to. So many of her characteristics reminded me of myself or on of my children. She is exactly what Zane needed and Zane is perfect for her as well, it just takes some time for them both to realize it.

Overall, I really enjoyed Keep. It touches on some issues that not everyone thinks about regularly, but are real for so many people while still managing to stay lighthearted and leave you happy at the end.

A good book by Rachel Van Dyken - funny, entertaining and sweet!

I love a friends to lovers trope, and I’ve enjoyed all the virgin heroes books I’ve read lately. Therefore Keep was a delight.I couldn't relate to fallon, nor did I like her at the beginning, but she grew on me. I felt the couple was very immature at times and it bothered me a little.

I particularly enjoyed how the author portrayed Zane's anxiety issues, but I wanted him to look for professional help and his therapy sessions. His treatment could've been a great addiction to make this book fantastic!

It’s more of a romantic comedy than a contemporary romance. Not as much depth as I usually expect, but I had a fun time reading Keep. I'll remember Zane every time I eat marshmallows - for a long time.

Keep is the second novel in the Seaside Pictures series. Like the first book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. It also has fun cameos from all the characters I adore from the Seaside series. Rachel is a master at combining wit and banter with heart-wrenching moments and series subject matter. Zane is the hottest pop star on the planet, but little does the world know that he's dealing with crippling anxiety and a lifetime of abandonment issues. Fallon is just an average girl waiting for her financial aid to kick in so she can start college. With plans to work at the local hotel and make some extra money, Fallon has no idea that she's about to become the only person Zane can relax around and use for some much needed inspiration for his new album. How can Fallon become Zane's muse, but keep her distance knowing he's going to leave? How can Zane bring himself to finally leave the only person who has ever really been there for him when the album is done? Their connection is tested when circumstances beyond their control threaten to destroy everything they built together. This is a story of overcoming. Abandonment. Anxiety. Self-doubt. It is a beautiful story and an even more beautiful message.

This is the second book of the seaside pictures series but can be read as a stand alone.

This is such an amazing story of Zane, the writer's blocked musician off to seaside to find his music again. Fallon helps him find his was out of a dark place and together they make beautiful music together.

Gah, this story... Held me hostage from the very beginning. Zane is a marshmallow loving guy that loves to be naked. Fallon is a sweet, nerdy girl that makes a grand entrance into Zane's life. There were so many times I laughed and cried throughout this wonderful story. There was so much to discover about Zane and my heart truly broke for him.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I loved this book! So much. It’s fun, emotional, sweet and romantic. Zane and Fallon are incredible characters, just like the secondary characters. I already loved Zane in Capture and I loved him more now. Zane is famous, talented, kind and a little lost. I loved getting to know him better and there were still some (shocking) things to discover about him. Fallon is a sweet, genuine, caring, smart and feisty woman. She’s perfect for Zane. She understands him and pushes him when he needs it. Zane finds inspiration with Fallon and he loves being with her. Zane and Fallon are an amazing couple and I adored them together! I loved how they met and how their story progressed.

I have a new found respect for marshmallows.... (Sighs) and marshmallow flavored Chapstick. Zane and Fallon are holding a special place in my heart at the moment, and I hope who ever reads this book as the same feeling. I loved every word that came out of this book.... The story was beautifully written and told by one of my favorite authors! She truly is magic when it comes to telling a story.

Fallon and Zane make this beautiful story perfect. A marshmallow addicted singer with a truck load of issues and a local girl who's "blind as a bat" and stutters when she's nervous makes this book at that much better. The witty banter between all the characters had me laughing out loud and crying at some point, in a good way. The entire story touched me and I loved it! And I hope you will too!

For the love of Mallows!!! Zane is now my forever book boyfriend. The Chemistry between Zane and Fallon is out of this world and the banter between them as well as all the other amazing Seaside characters is like no other. Once again Rachel Van Dyken has found the key to pulling me so deeply into a world that I wish I lived in.

Keep is perfect in so many ways. Like all other RVD books I laughed out loud and cried. So many heartwarming moments, broken hearts and of course that epic moment when everything comes together. I was waiting for Zane's story and I was not disappointed at all. I can't walk past a marshmallow without thinking of Zane "Saint" Andrews. Thank you Rachel for yet another unforgettable story.

Keep is the second book in the Seaside Pictures series but can be read as a stand alone.

I just read this book start to finish and loved every second of it; it's a really sweet, feel good read.

I adored Zane and Fallon and they were absolutely perfect for each other. It was a breath of fresh air to read about a male lead with vulnerabilities and Zane won't fail to make you awe out loud and swoon all over the place. Fallon was also a sweetheart but I liked how she had her own quirks but still felt strong and soft all at the same time.

Keep was romantic and had some real emotional moments that brought a tear to me eye but it was still laced with humour throughout. All in all a really great read and I can't wait to add the PB to my collection.

I was gifted a copy of this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book under no inducement or obligation.
