Review:The story starts interestingly, but was quite a waste of even the little bit of time I put into it. Couldn't finish it There are grammatical issues and editing requirements on top of that. Good thing I got it for free. A story that will not make you feel like there's anything new in it, the writing is not even a bit exciting, things that should be mentioned in a line have been stretched. Read more
Review:What a fantastic book! Gemmell's take on the story of Troy and the Illiad is fascinating. As usual, his heroes are larger than life offering a realistic take on war and the aftermath of war. The characters are deeply fleshed out, with movitations and weaknesses. Leave your political and social beliefs behind and consider the time these people lived. Many of the things they do we would find shocking but were everyday events in the time this book is depicting.

Review:This is my second time through the series. I find I appreciate these stories and pick more details out the more I read them. I love fantasy and I can easily place myself in these stories. I have lent these out to numerous friends who have also enjoyed them and recommend them to any fantasy reader. I'm off to purchase the Harry Dresden series! Enjoy! Read more
Review:These books are amazing. It is refreshing to see complex politics that go beyond simple good versus evil and delve into how complicated decisions are made by multifaceted characters based on motives that are unknown to the reader. The pacing is excellent, the plot engaging, the characters deeply interesting and the fantasy physics of the world are consistent and fascinating. Read more
Review:Do yourself a favor and read this series in order. So much of each book is predicated on the previous ones that at this stage (book 5) you would be lost very quickly. Beside that this book is a fast read and lots of fun with yet another new character to meet at the very end. Enjoy! Read more
Review:We received this order in good time. The condition of the CD was good, some skipping, but no worse than any other audio book we have listened to and better than many. The price was fantastic! We are very happy with this purchase and supplier. Obviously we are happy with the book or we wouldn't have ordered #3 in the series. We will be ordering #4 also! Read more
Review:the development of the characters, in particular the main character over the series was truly well thought out! I will miss Tavi for his growth, strength, and hope that Jim Butcher created. How ironic that I didn't want to start reading this series after I was finished with the Dresden files!
I miss them BOTH now!
please, please bring them both back...
I'm sitting here, right now feeling like an addict without no stuff.
your a young man Jim. give it to me! Read more
