Review:I was really impressed by Price. This book left me wanting to read another one of her books. The chracters were well thought out and developed, the plot was interesting. I loved the book. There is nothing like a character who has LOTS of power and continue to get get more. Read more
Review:I bought this book with great excitement and greater expectations, having read his two previous and excellent novels and waiting for Zafon's newer materials, I found myself disappointed. Even though this book is very well written it didn't pull me or keep me guessing like the others, the story is somewhat predictable and even boring at times. This book is not hard to put down :( Read more
Review:Great writing. He does mystery so well. After Shadow of the Wind I expected (somewhat) rational explanations for the apparently supernatural villain and goings-on associated with him, but this kept me wondering to the very end, and surprised me a bit. I'm holding off reading the third book because I don't want this series to end. Read more
Review:Esta es una novela intrigante, una continuación de Sombra del Viento, entrelazando los temas de amor, ambición, misterio, lo súper natural, en que el lector entra el mundo de los personajes y los acompaña en su viaje cual es lleno de amor y tristeza. Read more
Review:This book is an interesting read. It feels almost like a series of short stories that all happen to be about the same character written at different times and later strung together. That's not to say it's bad, just different. I actually very much enjoyed it and look forward to more in the future. Read more

Seanan McGuire’s fourth tale about the part-time dancer, Chaos Choreography(paper from DAW) has contestants and producers trying call on a snake god by ritually slaughtering the losing dancers. The talk... Read more
Review:I would highly recommend this book. A lot of surprises in it, things you would not think this book is about. Not saying too much else because I don't want to spoil it. But the devil had a little bit to do with it....Get the book, some author's I read don't surprise me...This one did....Loved this book!!!!! Read more
Review:I too had higher expectations for this book, but found myself struggling to finish it. It's not bad, just never really captivated me. I feel it could have been a bit shorter but not miss any of the story, but that's just my opinion. Overall it's a good horror story, and if you like Dan Simmons, you'll probably enjoy it. Read more
Review:DAN SIMMONS IS A MORE THAN COMPETENT WRITER WHO HAD A GOOD IDEA WITH THIS NOVEL: MIND VAMPIRES. IN SORT OF A MULTI-POINT OF VIEW NEWSPAPER STYLE SIMMONS TAKES US THROUGH THE STORY WITH THE EVIL PROTAGONISTS WINNING AT EVERY TURN. I COULD NOT GIVE IT FIVE STARS DUE TO ITS BEING TEDIOUS AND OVERLY LONG. HOWEVER, SIMMONS WAS AIMING TO GAIN CERTAIN RESPONSES FROM THE READER -- WHICH HE DID IF SAID READER COULD HOLD OUT 'TIL THE END. BUT ALL IN ALL A GOOD SUMMER READ. Read more
