Review:4 Stars... The second book in the "Krewe Hunters" series focuses on Jake Mallory who, along with his team, is called in to investigate a missing persons case causing him to be reunited with his soulmate, Ashley Donegal... The case quickly turns to a murder investigation, seeped in Civil War history, and ghostly presences begin to entwine themselves within this haunting mystery... Heather Graham provides a strong historical foundation within which she creates a twisting, turning "who done it" cas... Read more

The Betrayed (Krewe of Hunters)
The Betrayed (Krewe of Hunters)

Review:I have read Heather Graham books for a long time. I have read all the Krewe books and preorder as soon as it pops up on Amazon.

This book wasn't bad but not the best in the series. My biggest problem with the book was Mo took her dog into establishments saying it was ok because he was wearing his service vest. He isn't performing a service for her and so the dog isn't allowed into retardants under the ADA. It seemed an easy out for the writer which got the dog into restaurants. Either Mo ... Read more

The Steel Remains (A Land Fit for Heroes)
The Steel Remains (A Land Fit for Heroes)

Review:This is an utterly brilliant, fantastically well written story, which is at times difficult to read. There are two elements that make it hard to read. First, the more prosaic issue is that there are multiple plot-lines and jumping between them is jarring. The second thing is the fact that Morgan writes in explicit detail about sex and some of the sex is between men. Having a gay hero *really* works. He is sympathetic and the plot elements revolving around his interactions with his family and how... Read more

The Night Strangers: A Novel
The Night Strangers: A Novel

Review:The Night Strangers by Chris Bojalian was touted as having a complex plot and all the trappings of a classic gothic horror story. It was supposed to be the new and better version of Rosemary's Baby or Young Goodman Brown. It was neither, and for this reader is was disappointing to say the least.

The novel begins with a unique situation - an airline pilot who lives through a crash that kills 39 passengers when the plane he is flying is hit by a flock of geese. He tries his best to land ... Read more

Official Ghostbusters Edition - Tobin's Spirit Guide
Official Ghostbusters Edition - Tobin's Spirit Guide

Review:I bounced between three and four stars for this. It's a bit of a letdown, since I had hoped for something that was actually supposed to be the book referenced in the movie, but this book is "written" by the Ghostbuster characters. So rather than being some kind of actual reference work, it's more a book with some anecdotes and stories about how the Ghostbusters dealt with various spirits...

So part of me was thinking just 2 or 3 stars, but people aren't buying this based solely on the c... Read more
