Alice in Deadland Trilogy (Alice, Books 1-3)
Alice in Deadland Trilogy (Alice, Books 1-3)

Review:I bought this series because i love zombie genre. As of today's mainstream change in the genre of zombie and post apocalypse, the story is told much later after the first outbreak and the end of the world as we know it. Shows view of the world from people, who where born after the old world and also from the zombie's view. Great character improvement over the books and although we have a main character it tells the story from many peoples viewpoint. Altogether it's an enchanting series. Recommen... Read more

What the Hell Did I Just Read (John Dies at the End)
What the Hell Did I Just Read (John Dies at the End)

Review:I recommend this series to everyone who likes their horror & comedy in equally shocking proportions. You know the book is great when you can't stop reading while simultaneously not wanting the story to end. These books gave me a glimpse into a world that I will return to as often as possible. Dave & John are the anti-heroes of a generation. To the author I say bravo sir, job well done. Read more

The Talisman: A Novel
The Talisman: A Novel

Review:A fun story, love the creativity around parallel universes. Definitely became enthralled and eager to turn the pages. Although, I didn't give it the full five stars because I don't think this was one of Stephen kings better pieces. I don't think it was meant to be either, but still a good read. Read more

The Dead Zone
The Dead Zone

Review:This is a classic King novel with superbly written support characters especially John's father Herb, and girlfriend Sarah letting you really feel the emotions of what they are all going through.

John Smith is a popular high school teacher and with a beautiful colleague as a girlfriend life couldn't be better. In fact Sarah has promised him he will get lucky with her for the first time once their date at the county fair ends. On the way out the Wheel of Fortune beckons and John is on the l... Read more

Different Seasons
Different Seasons

Review:Three of the stories here were made into movies: Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me (The Body in the book) and Apt Pupil.
All are good stories and good movies. They are short, less than 200 pages each, but Stephen King is excellent at developing characters and making us care about them and giving us plenty to be interested in after he's gotten us hooked. Read more

Rage Against the Night
Rage Against the Night

Review:Loved this great collection of horror stories by some legends of the craft, as well as some lesser known writers (to me at least). I love short stories, and this collection certainly satisfied by need for the horrific and gory. All proceeds for this book go to a great cause as well, so I just had to pick it up!

If you're looking for some good horror to while away the time without reading a full-length novel, consider Rage Against the Night, it's well worth your time!

Two thumbs up!... Read more

The Dark Half
The Dark Half

Review:Not one of my favorite King novels, it was dark and very violent and not fun at all. Many of his books have a least a but of humor in them but this one was just dark and creepy all the way through. Of course it was well written and very suspenseful. I really love Stephen King and have read just about all of his books, though some I like more than others. Read more

Six Scary Stories
Six Scary Stories

Review:Collection of stories, not well represented in the description. It's an anthology of stories, none of which were written by Stephen King. Hence one star. Will read maybe at some point and rescore if appropriate. Read more

Let the Dead Sleep (Cafferty & Quinn)

Review:I always like Heather Graham's stories and style of writing. The characters are likable, if not a bit predictable. If you're looking for a quick entertaining story- look no further! Let the Dead Sleep was a good, solid story! Read more

Waking the Dead (Cafferty & Quinn)
Waking the Dead (Cafferty & Quinn)

Review:REVIEWED BY LIZ (originally posted on Kindles & Wine Book Blog)

WAKING THE DEAD was seriously creepy! I was hoping for a mix of romance and thriller, and wow, it delivered on the thriller part. The mystery/thriller aspects of the book were out of this world, and the paranormal part - a painting that seemed to be haunted - was crazy scary! I really felt a lot of dread every time the author mentioned the sun going down since bad things were happening at night. The reason behind HOW the ... Read more
