I bought this series because i love zombie genre. As of today's mainstream change in the genre of zombie and post apocalypse, the story is told much later after the first outbreak and the end of the world as we know it. Shows view of the world from people, who where born after the old world and also from the zombie's view. Great character improvement over the books and although we have a main character it tells the story from many peoples viewpoint. Altogether it's an enchanting series. Recommend it to anyone who likes this genre in general and looking for something newish in it.

This was an exciting premise and the story really catches your interest, but the CONSTANT USE of the "word" learnt was very very distracting. It is okay for a character to be illiterate, for the author - not so much!

The premise to this story is very interesting and original. With that said, the writing was below par. There were many typos and sentences with horrible structure, leaving the reader wondering if the book was at all edited. I feel if the author could work this issue out then his books would be better received.

Originally I thought which direction could this book possibly start going to? The reminiscent themes of a movie watched long ago came forth and then the first book started to pave the way to an interesting read. Up to book two and enjoy reading about the conflicts that come about with war and the creatures that have spawned from the plot.

Even if you don't like zombies or zombie stories, these books are different. I happen to hate zombies, their stories,tv and movies, BUT, I got this trilogy for free and it has been a wonderful story.
The author has created excellent characters that I came to care about. SPOILER: I even cried when a couple of the zombies died!

The books have some editing needs; they were not so bad as to make the sentence unreadable.
These books are definitely worth buying on a Kindle daily deal. I may go looking for more by this author.

I give two stars for ingenuity alone. Good title and some crafty hooks. HOWEVER I have my doubts. Read the authors bio. Random house and penguin published this fool? I just cannot believe that given the writing. Perhaps he was published in his native language and this was a poor attempt at the use of English. He only names one title and if it was a major motion picture, perhaps it was filmed by a major in the military and the pictures were in motion?
He uses the words had and had been SO MUCH it drives me insane!

Fantastic series. Inventive and fanciful. One of the best spins on the traditional tail of Alice in her Wonderland written in 1865 by Louis Carroll. American McGee and Mainak Dhar must share a twisted love of this childhood tail. I cannot wait to read more about Alice's adventures in Deadland!

If you're looking for a zombie apocalypse novel, this isn't it. The Biters as they're called are dead but a precious few aren't full blown Biters but rather hybrids to whom the other Biters pay homage. Do the Biters attack and kill - yes. Is the trilogy about that...no it's not.

This should be required reading for every American student. What it truly focuses on is the price of freedom and the vigilance required to keep it. Essentially freedom isn't free and let your guard down for even the blink of an eye and someone is looking to remove that priceless gift. It is a written warning of conspiracy theories in existence that we're all too afraid to admit the potential truth of.

I don't know if I'd read this a second time and thus four stars instead of five. However this, when read for what it truly is cannot be understated. The trilogy is phenomenal. It includes betrayal, power grabs, teamwork, strategic planning and zombies (kind of) but what rang such a deep resonance with me was hope. Great series and should be on every teacher's required reading list this summer and every year thereafter!

Great value. Lewis Carroll would be proud. In depth explanation of the conspiracy responsible for the change. Alice needs help from her "Wonder - Deadland Characters. Good twists. Who is utterly responsible for the disaster? Can Alice with the help of her friends triumph? Technology challenged but "guerilla" tactics is how they have to fight on. I can't wait to read the next instalment.

I love zombie novels, movies, video games, almost anything having to do with the undead. Alice in deadland put a new twist on the undead. It was very well put together, the writer makes it easy to feel what Alice is going through.

The most important thing to remember is to read these books in the order that they were published! Mr. Dhar has written a series that lets you experience both the horror & excitement in books. His characters come alive and involve a story that is unique to the zombie world.
This is an inexpensive but fantastic gift for anyone who appreciates good writing, a strong story, compelling characters, dark humor with enough twists & turns to make you dizzy.

I easily give this one 5 stars and this is the only 3rd book I have bought & I own over 2,400 books. I had read Alice in Deadland when it was free & had to have the rest of the collection. When they were available for only .99 the price was too perfect to pass up.

I enjoyed reading this trilogy. I went into it thinking it would be a Walking Dead meets Alice in Wonderland type of story, but quickly realized the story line was much more than that. In face, it was quite realistic when you consider the world we live in today (you'll understand once you read it). I didn't want to put the book (or in my case, my Kindle) down. Excellent read!

I really liked the book and thankfully it was the whole trilogy or the individual books would have been to short for me(Battlefield earth book was not too long). The characters were good and fun to follow and the whole Alice storyline was fun and the way all the characters tied together. there were no slow spots or places you had to speed through to get to the action.

Just finished the first the Alice in Deadland omnibus. What an awesome read!! I loved how the prequel tied the stories of the main characters together. I would definitely recommend these stories to any zombie story fan.

I surprisingly enjoyed the "Alice Zombie" mix. Great writing and story, hooks from start to end. There were times that I was stuck reading for loner periods of times just to finish the sequence, Great Read!

Although not based on the Original it does take you down the rabbit hole. Once there I found it very hard to want to come back out again. Great read glad I bought it in the set made it soooo much easier to flow into the next book and then the 3rd

The book(s) had promise. Interesting twist on a fairy tale, zombies, post-apocolyptic world...but I just can't get past the 15 yr-old girl who is leading a settlement of 200 against the "man." Its trying to be a Hunger Games but the writing just wasn't there. I couldn't take the author repeatedly stating what a great shot Alice is, better than anyone else, blah blah blah.

Creative story but uncompelling writing did it in for me.

If you enjoy reading blow by blow fight scenes, you will enjoy this series. I don't. I found it difficult to connect to the characters and stopped reading halfway through the second book in the trilogy.
