Review:Bruce P. Grether here, though my partner Tom's name appears on the account.
Every time I read one of Anne Rice's books I am seduced and I am pulled through irresistibly...
Not long ago I re-entered the VAMPIRE CHRONICLES via PANDORA, with its 2000-year first-person perspective on the world of Anne Rice's beloved characters. Pandora has a bittersweet relationship with the half-Keltoi, half Roman Marius.
Despite her inability to live with Marius, it was to his story BLOOD AND ... Read more
Review:THIS BOOK TOTALLY SUCKS!!! I figured it would be great, as all of her other books are, but I was SOOO wrong! I can't even get through the whole thing because it's so boring. All of her novels have some sort of explicit details about sex and violence.....Not this one. I don't even think I will ever finish it! Read more
Review:Having read many of Anne Rice's works (Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, Blood and Gold, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty), I can safely say that this is one of her most well-written and beautiful books. I think it took me the whole of about five days to read "Vittorio" from cover to cover, and like Rice's previous works, it didn't fail to mesmerize me. There is something different about this book, however, compared to the others I've read.

Review:I was delighted with this book. It was vintage "Rice". She is back! I was pleased to see some of our old friends again especially the Mayfair family and of course our old friend Lestat. This was so much better than her last couple of books. I am anxious to see where "Quinn and Rowan" go from here. I finished the book yesterday and hated that it was over.
Great book. Read more
Review:A thrilling and poignant finish to the convolution of Blackwood Farm and The Mayfair Witches sagas. Combining all of the novels and their secrets into an amazing conclusion. A must read for any Ann Rice fan. Read more
Review:Not as evocative as the first book, nevertheless still imaginative and interesting. I liked the new characters and growing tensions, though still wish we found out more about them. The language is a bit repetitive at times, but reads well and fits into the character voices. I enjoyed reading it. Read more
Review:Beautiful and descriptive writing. An interesting and rich story. There were times i had to reread certain parts. It was so heavy what the characters had to say. Best vampire story I've read. So glad I stumbled across this!! :) Read more
Review:I really enjoyed the characters and reading about their social customs. There living was simple and uninhibited. The story was sensual and exciting. I especially liked that the women had a voice in their culture. Read more
Review:I have been reading the Pendergast books since Relic came out. I have been pestering my parents to read these books ever since. For my father's birthday last year, I finally broke down and sent them the audiobooks to get them started. Now they are both hooked. Brimstone is probably my favorite book in the series, and my mother is reading it now. we check in every morning to see where she is in the story. I have loved these books and the characters have become friends in my quiet moments. N... Read more
Review:This book was terrible. Washington Irving just kept ranting on about the dumbest things that had no relevance to the story whatsoever. The only good part was the climax on the last couple of pages, but other than that I hated this short story. Read more
