Review:Definitely worth the money. Arrived promptly and in excellent condition, and I've been meaning to order the book for a while. The illustrations are adorable and I'm always left smiling after reading it. Read more
Review:As a parent I absolutely loved this book and will cherish its wisdom in the event of a zombie crisis so I can keep my kids safe, lol. I plan to stock up on legos and jacks to sprinkle around the floor so they really can be used as a defense mechanism but I draw the line at getting a minivan. I have REFUSED for years to be a Minivan Mom, I’ll stick to my SUV.
It really is very tongue in cheek while providing survival tips but it somehow still came off as a good parenting book which I didn’... Read more
Review:If you are expecting an expansion on or a similar title to World War Z (which i loved), do not purchase this book. This is a graphic novel with extremely little dialouge /plot / story. Most of the stories start and end the same way:
Step 1: Zombies?
Step 2: Zombies!
Step 3: What zombies? / They were never heard from again (Dun Dun Dunnnnnn!)
The pictures were interesting to look at (and from what i can tell, good for a graphic novel), but i honestly read this book in it's ent... Read more
Review:I can now easily see why these cartoons were rejected. Too drunk htey may have been, htey were actually mostly not too dark and some of them were naughtier than others BUT the primary reason was probably thatt hey were really not very good and should have been rejected anyway. Read more
Review:If you have read the New Yorker Magazine then you really will need no prodding in purchasing this fine set...for those of you who have never experienced New Yorker cartoons, I have two words for you...CHARLES ADDAMS....Charles Addams, the creator of the ADDAMS FAMILY, has many of his finest cartoons housed within this book and CDs....His brand of macabre humor served as the foundation, which Larson, Wilson, Kliban, and the rest, built their careers upon....this intro to Charles Addams work is on... Review:You wouldn't expecy a story about a squirrel being sucked into a vaccuum cleaner to be funny and smart, but it is! Flora learns a lot more about grown-ups and the squirrel, Ulysses, learns there is more to life than being hungry (maybe). Read more
Review:A good quality x-men run and of course considered a staple in x-men lore, i'm only taking out a star because I personally hate jean grey and Scott summers and of course this revolves around them. This also has a weird tangent where jean thinks she's someone called the red queen and she lives in the 1800's? idk man like a said, weird tangent in the story Read more
Review:Wow, I wasn't expecting this kind of great quality. The art style is obviously older, this was written/drawn in 1989! In this volume you'll get acquainted with Guts, The Black Swordsman. Not much is really revealed about him except that he has been battling his inner demons for a while, Oh and I mean that quite literally. Puck is a nice comedic addition to this very melancholic story. Already buying vol 2 and I cant wait to get the other 30+ volumes! Read more
Review:David Small's STITCHES: A MEMOIR is the most moving tale written in graphic novel format that I've encountered since being totally wowed by Craig Thompson's BLANKETS back in my years on Best Books for Young Adults.
Between the spare text and the 1,400+ illustrations through which David Small tells the story of a nightmarish childhood and his eventual escape from his parents and his demons, STITCHES is a landmark work of literature for young adults that is destined for core collection stat... Read more
Review:When the original series came out, it was torturous to wait for the next month's copy to come out. The storyline and artwork were dynamic and enjoyable for the first seven issues. Then the storyline got too convoluted and the artwork took a turn for cheesy. But it was an overall, entertaining time and Marvel struck gold on the series. Great Job! Read more
