Review:A beautifully written Victorian era supernatural adventure! A little bit dry at times, making some parts difficult to get through, but it shines beautifully when it needs to. The world created in this book is incredibly dark and beautiful, the character of She a haunting one, unique for her time. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone looking for some less well known Classical literature. Read more
Review:This is small easy to read booklet, only 14 pages. The design is for the tired, distraught family member who is trying to get a grip on what is happening to their loved one. It simply explains the dying process in a no nonsense list of symptoms. Families I have supported through the dying process have found this booklet extremely helpful. It helps to normalize the dying symptoms and allows the family to make educated decisions regarding care and symptom management. The print is large and easy t... Read more
Review:Easy to connect to wi-fi and Bluetooth speaker. The built in speaker is good enough; but we connect it to a quality Bluetooth speaker, for music. The TP Link smart plug works well with this unit. Alexa can keep you up to date on news, sports and weather; plus answer all kinds of questions. She does alarms and timers. The connection to music is worth the $29.00 sale price. We have used it for over a week now, without a single problem or complaint. That is a relatively short time; but with electron... Read more
Review:What could have been a gimmick for selling a book - creating booths where everyday folk could enter undisturbed and simply talk about experiences, life, pain, joy, sorrow and exhilaration to be later transcribed and edited into a book of 'interviews' - has in the hands of StoryCorps Project's Dave Isay become a verbal history of this country at a time when positive reinforcement is so desperately needed.
In a short but tender Introduction Isay sets the tenor: 'StoryCorps is built on a fe... Read more
Review:I'm seeing reviews that the tennis one is better, but I read that one and could not apply it to playing an instrument. There are practically no guides on the psychology of learning music. Thankfully, there's this great one. Read more
Review:Inverting the Pyramid: The History of Football Tactics

Review:This book is very good for a hard core survivorist and the weekend camper. The things he talks about make a lot if sense and his way of teaching is a lot better than most. I would recommend this book in a heart beat. Read more
Review:Beautiful and informative in the extreme. I doubt if I will ever be able to see even half of these plants in a lifetime. However, it is imperative to know enough to survive and thrive. Everyone should have this book as well as Thayer's other book on edible plants. Thanks and blessings! Read more
Review:After several years of watching TED Talks, it finally hit me that I could incorporate those principles into the public speaking I do in my job. I've read books, web articles, and various other materials about how to give a TED Talk. I've watched YouTube videos. I've watched TED Talks ABOUT TED Talks, and so on.
When I saw this book, I had to have a copy. I mean, if it's written by Chris Anderson, it's got to be good, right? I'd only gotten through the first few pages, and was already... Read more
Review:Working through a manuscript with this book was both eye opening and a bit painful. So much, so wrong (with my writing not the book's). Oh my. I'm not complaining, mind you. My work has benefited. The book is both helpful and constructive, perhaps the single best volume on content editing I've come across, and I read many. The tone is just right with no accusations but also no coddling.
Others have gone over the content of Self Editing for Fiction Writers in detail. All I have to say is d... Read more
