Fairy Tales, Folk Tales & Myths
Review:This book showed up in my recommended books because of reading some Dragon books by Chris d'Lacey and I thought I would give it a try. It is a good fun read and is now in the too be read list for my son and I to read together. There are currently 4 books available in this series with a 5th planned for the spring of 2016. The illustrations by Graham Howells are very wonderful and are on every page of the book. These books are geared for early readers from 1st-03rd grade and are set at a reading l... Read more
Review:Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales.
Quick & Dirty: The ultimate vibrant escape into a fantastical world makes you question what exactly is human nature. Pegasus is quite complex, which makes it a more challenging but more thoughtful and worthwhile novel than one that is simply storyline. Reading the novel’s summary, it is easy to put it in a preteen or teen category, but the intricate vocabulary and political undertones make it a more compelling read for adults and even university E... Review:My Wife and I bought the set for our Grandchildren to read to us. She wanted the Magic Tree House Set because she had it when she was a little girl. We were able to fine the first four books in a box set on Amazom.com. To get the Grandchildren into reading short stories instead of playing games on T.V. We are very happy to say the children are wanting to read more now than play games. Now I may have to get the rest of the series for Christmas! Read more

Review:One of the pure joys of my reading/listening time recently has been the audiobook of J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them narrated by Newt Scamander himself, Eddie Redmayne. This was a wonderful surprise – I really wasn’t expecting it to be as entertaining as it was. This is a “revised edition” film tie-in, to include an additional footnote by Scamander commenting on the events of the film and implying more editions will be released as more Fantastic Beasts films are released... Review:No one has heard of these books, but everyone should have. I will definitely read these to my kids. The way that different books focus on different characters mix things up, the Arthurian-legend-in-present-day is fun, and every kid loves the story of a child with great responsibility (Will Turner). Review:I enjoyed this book because it showed true bonds between friends and family. Though it was a little tragic sometimes, that just built up a good story plot for me. I had been waiting to read this book for a while, and I'm glad Blaze was the one to survive, but Thorn became queen. The other two were just plain cruel. Read more
Review:The next chapter in an amazing and engaging series. My daughter loves this series so much. She has re-read the books so much they have started to physically fall apart so I have begun to get hardback editions for her instead.
The book arrived as promised and well packaged. The binding is tight and solid.
I did not read it my self but will ask my daughter about it for purposes of this review.
(NOTE: she read it cover to cover in one day)
I asked her to tell me about the book... Read more
