Review:Charles Portis wrote a wonderful story of a time and era gone by and is all but buried. A time when certain manors were expected of people in public and in which our main character Mattie, comes across that at least two of these characters do not agree with her and accuse her as being a run away to try to get rid of her. She is a quick study and uses her "new" manors to quickly be used in a way to help her cause.

Review:A dystopian society. A love story. But, in my opinion I was overall disappointed.
I liked the first book a lot. Sped through it. I understood the rules of their world. The love story was exciting. There was mystery and I was SO curious by the end. From the 3 books I liked the exploration, hunger for knowledge and self-expression.
The bad. The second and 3rd book moved at a glacial pace for me. I was starting to get so bored with everything. My only hope was that some reviews said the endin... Read more

Review:Well written and set in a very interesting period of the western world. The people had great difficulties with close interpersonal contacts except with one disabled person who did not give them any response but they all saw different reaction to their tales from him. Read more
Review:While I, mostly, enjoyed reading the series I found the writing to be somewhat inconsistent. It felt like the author was writing one, or more, books at the same time. Two instances, in particular, stand out. One where she says Jeremy is interning at his father's company, but in another book he was a banker. The second one was so obvious, I question whether it was the same author. In the first chapter of the first book Belly says her brother Steven taught her to whistle really well and how pro... Review:Are you reading this book because you're looking for deep, insightful reading material? Probably not. However, this book promises no such thing so we're good! It's such a cute, cheesy romantic story that wouldn't ever happen in real life and that's why I love it. As long as you know what you're getting yourself into, you'll love it too. Read more
Review:This novel was you typical teenager girl who fall sin love, but the twist is that there's more to the story. You live day by day with Belly and you feel whats she's feeling, and you see everything the way she see's it. You feel her emotions and know how she will react. This novel trilogy was very cute and i recommend it. Read more
Review:I read this book for a class assignment with dred. It was written by two people with two different styles, about two people with two different lives and too different for me to immediately like it. I won't lie, it took me to about 40% of the way into the book to get into it but when I did it was truly amazing. I feel so overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings that I just had to write a review, my first on this site.
Give it a chance and prepare to be inspired. Read more
