Review:After finishing the brilliant and hilarious “Diary of a Nobody,” I made the brave decision to read another satirical British novel about a young lecturer of medieval history set in post-World War II Britain.
The main reason I chose to read this book is because as a kid growing up in a Siberian gulag, I had always dreamed of becoming a medieval history lecturer of British descent.
“Lucky Jim” produces the occasional moments of satirical genius, such as when the protagonist, who is o... Read more
Review:So overall I enjoyed the book. Bianca and Wes were fun, damaged and flirty. There are a bunch of great one liners. And Bianca's flaws were very real and I found myself thinking this girl was strong but vulnerable. I would recommend this book as a good beach read. My only major problem with the book is that I think the author attempted to tackle too much and then just swept major issues (ie divorce, alcoholism, and abandonment) to a quick resolution. I still think these issues needed to be in... Read more

When seventeen-year-old Clea, the daughter of a wealthy Senator, returns home after a vacation in Europe, she discovers the image of a strange man in a lot of the photographs she took. The man appears in the background of her photos, in strange positions, one even shows him suspended in the air. The man follows her into her dreams, where the intimacy between the two of them almost feels tangible. When Clea and her friend Ben-who is totally in love with her-head to Brazil to inve... Read more
Review:I had no familiarity with Haylie Duff beyond her role on ND.. I was very happily surprised when I stumbled on this book. It is truly lovely. I am not a recipe girl. I love making up my own recipes, so when I purchase a cookbook- of which I have hundreds- it is for inspiration and aesthetic pleasure... And let me tell you- this book is STUNNING! Coffee table worthy photography. Pure food porn. I don't eat meat except on extremely rare occasions and am very concious of how often I eat dairy or egg... Read more
Review:second time to read the Drizzt series. Fearsome fivesome are still the focal point but I find this time around the R.A., spends an inordinate amount of page space describing people, places and things. The action is still great, the wisdom imparted by Drizzt is still valid today and comraderie among the five still moves me. Read more
Review:As a person who struggles with severe depression, chronic exhaustion, this book was a welcome respite from reality. This book was inspiration and hope in my darkest hour. I found it comforting and uplifting. Even if you don't believe in religion or just need to know you matter, this book is what you need. Sadie reminds us to be fearless and love ourselves, to be kind, caring, loving...no matter how small the promoting...to listen to your heart. To know your own worth in God's eyes and your own.... Review:Weil provided a good ending to a fine trilogy! Though still a little weak in terms of copyediting, Soul Symmetry is a step back up from the second novel.
Weil's conclusion offers action, adventure, romance (clean, for those of you concerned about such things), and a HEA which largely satisfied and brings a sense of closure while still keeping things open for her to revisit this fine world.

Review:Another good story from Weil, the second in her compelling Raven series.
Sadly, she slipped up a little this time, whether in rushing publication or in using a leader copyeditor. Her normally strong prose is this time beset by many of the errors that bedevil the YA genre, but her strong storytelling still makes this well worth the read.

Review:How this has not been hit with a copyright infringement is astonishing. It is almost word for word copied from Obsidian, Jennifer L. Armentrout's book. Save yourself the money and just buy Obsidian to support the real author. Read more
Review:I received this book for an honest review.
This book would be a great read for all teenagers. It delves into some very difficult situation no teenager should have to go through. The bullying described in this book is severe and I hope and pray if even one teenager reads this book who bullies and stops when they see how much hurt it causes them this book is worth ievery read! Also, if any person going through the difficult situation this girl does in the book hopefully they will learn tha... Read more
