Review:I'm appreciating these comics more, since I have a frame of reference from the anime. If you haven't seen the entire first season yet, you can watch it for free officially on the " Daisuki " web site. Support this very RARE work that has a perfect combo of super hero comedy with awesome art direction. The anime also lives up to the art direction and the music and sound track for OPM complements it perfectly as well. NEED MORE/NEW OPM MANGA/ANIME !!! Read more
Review:A Mango Shaped Space is a spectacular book. The book is about a girl named Mia, who has a disease called syensthesia, which makes her see color when she hears a sound. In the book she has to learn how to make her way through school, get over the loss of her beloved cat, and just being a teenager, all with her disease. She finds that with the help of her friends and family, she can overcome anything. The mood of this story is sad but humorous in some parts. The book is unclear about how much time... Read more
Review:This is a fantastic story! If you have not already checked out the anime, stop what you are doing right now and go find it and watched it! Are you still here? Why aren't you watching it?! All joking aside this is a superb story. I got hooked on the anime and just bought the Kindle version light novel yesterday but it follows the anime almost verbatim. If you are looking for a phenomenal story packed full of humor, adventure, action and a whole lot of heart, I say again, check this out! For thos... Read more
Review:E.M. Forster is one of the sassiest, naughtiest writers I've read. His satire is on a par with Chekhov's, and just as poignant. Due to the subject matter I also couldn't avoid thinking of Henry James: although I think James is less skilled, and way more tedious with his language and plotlines, as if he hated his characters, and saw them as nothing more than metaphors. Forster is warmer, rosier, fleshier. The only sad thing about all of this is that I discovered him so late. Where had E.M. Forste... Read more
Review:"Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" was my second "cancer book" in as many months. Although both Jesse Andrews and John Green had the same intention - to write a story about cancer that was different from those other tearjerky novels, in my eyes, Andrews was much more successful at stepping away from melodrama and cliches of the genre than Green. Of course, Andrews does not (yet) have a publicity platform of Green's magnitude to promote his novel, so I am glad to be able to help him out a little, b... Read more
Review:If anyone compares Ned Vizzini to Ken Kesey, don't listen to them. He's different because I said so. And because he is. In so many good ways.
His third book, IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY, takes its readers on an honest (and, in the end, refreshing) plunge into Craig Gilner's teenage depression and resurfaces in world that, five days later, feels real for the first time. He looks like your everyday modern kid until he sneaks out in the middle of the night and admits himself into a mental hos... Read more

Review:Let me preface by saying I didn't open the gift set. I'm giving this 3 stars because the book itself is somewhat a miniature version of the original, size-wise. Look at the dimensions carefully. I had assumed it would be the same as the regular book, with the added bonus of a CD, but this was not the case. If it's not a big deal to you, then the book should be fine. Amazon sent it fairly quickly. Read more
Review:I never write reviews, but I've been contemplating this one since I read the book. I really, really wanted to love this book. The series is one of my favorite ever, and I love almost everything that Maggie Stiefvater has written. She has a wonderful way with words and her ability to weave together character's stories is awesome. The world(s) she creates in all of her books are magical and enthralling. This book was just so anticlimactic. It was very "blah" to me. The weirdness and creativity are... Read more
Review:I would love to know how the story ends! Fun read, same interesting characters. Feels a little "drawn out" at times, but I'm sure all the new characters will play their role. Getting a little far-fetched, but I have already agreed to suspend my belief for Ms. Stiefvater in this series so I'm ready to just go with it. Read more
