Review:I was really enjoying this book. I had purchased it with several other books to save on shipping costs. By the time I started reading it however, I was already past the return option date. I got to the middle of the book and discovered that an entire section of the book was REPEATED, (about 60 pages) and then after those erroneous pages it picked up as though the previous section was correct. After I got over being extremely angry, I tried to get help from Amazon with it, but it was too late. So... Read more
Review:Good, simple and clear advice!
Backs up the advice, I got from a couple of mds over 2 decades ago to take a Baby Aspirin a day.
I am following some other advice in his book and will post the results mid fall of this year. Read more

Review:BLACK PASSENGER YELLOW CABS: An Erotic Ethnographic MemoirThis book is worth reading if one would like to understand the psyche of the third world. I read the two reviews which this book has received and realized that they just don't get it. Maybe one has to have seen where Stefhen grew up and understand the incredible, sheer luck it took to crawl out of such a hole and be able to write a memoir of his experiences.Fi... Read more
Review:This book was in very good condition when I received it and I returned it the same way. Rental price was awesome, wish I had rented in the past with my other college books, I would have saved a lot of money. Read more
Review:This is another challenging but absolutely inspiring book by David Hawkins, leading us further on the path to enlightenment.
Hawkins depicts his own path in considerable detail, describing the various states he experienced. When reading these descriptions, particularly in the section entitled "About the author", I myself fall into expanded states: waves of healing flow through me (I have much to be healed), occasionally accompanied by feelings of ecstasy/bliss; I also sometimes experience... Review:I got this book back in December, started following the diet very strictly, was also seeing a neurologist who started me on a preventative medication. The first week of no caffeine and no pain pills was horrible, but I went from taking triptans and/or excedrin multiple days a week to now less than twice a month. I still get headaches, but they are much more manageable with OTC medication, and triptans only as a last resort. I wish there was a newer version of the book- the recipes in the back ar... Read more
Review:Anyone interested in abnormal pschology will find this book fascinating! That the human brain can, for it's own protection, protect each facet of one's life by separating sub-conciously is amazing! The things we've yet to learn about the human brain!
I found this book inspiring! Particularly in the end where letters Sybil wrote to Dr. Wilbur after her cure are published. I never before thought to be thankful for having control for one whole day! I always thought that 24 hours in a da... Read more
Review:Being a philosophy minor in college, I think that I understood about half of this book. Here are some things to know before taking the leap.
1.Nietzsche discusses writers that were around hundred years ago or more that most people today are not familiar with.
2.A few passages in the book are clearly misogynistic.
3.Nietzsche's writing can be long-winded and convoluted at times, though it shows that his work was inspired from deep within him, and is not a bland logical conclusion de... Read more
Review:Not in the sense of Grey's Anatomy, but in the sense of books about surgical practice, this one rates at the very top. It's a classic in that sense, and many of my friends going into medicine have read it. It opens you up to not only surgery but the art of performance in a myriad of ways. I simply highly recommend it. Read more
