Review:Lyubomirsky is a die hard researcher who keeps quoting statistics and disgarding the travails of life faced by people with ongoing depression. She does have a chapter on the subject, but I didn't find it to be as thorough as the rest of the book. All rumination is self induced and at the root of all unhappiness, in her opinion. Review:The central argument of this book is that the default state of our brains, based largely on functional MRI (fMRI) scans, is being social and connected to others. When we are not doing anything, in so called idle state, our brain fMRI looks like when we are being social. And in that state of doing nothing we mostly think about other people.

Review:But I bought the ebook on Kindle, and the formatting is atrocious. Even on the widest setting, it fills only half the screen's width, with the margins taking up 1/4 of the screen on either side. It's pretty much completely unreadable, and now I have to figure out how to return an ebook.

From crowd sourcing to CSR there are some really interesting approaches for brands and organizations. Originally I thought it would be focused on video gaming- it is not. It covers video gaming but the book is an authoritative look at all gaming. it was really helpful for any marketing or brand strategist. Read more
