13th Edition, Experience Human Development

The book was in great condition. There were some highlighted texts and writings within the book contents but I didn't mind as they turned out to help me with key concepts. I am very satisfied with this product.

I will strongly recommend against buying from this company. I was wrongly charged almost $200 and they do not provide a "contact seller" section so I could talk to them about it.
I rented this book back in September for a class, I originally paid $77.17. I knew that I was going to have to return this book, but I was also under the impression that they would be sending reminder emails once it became close to the due date to do so.
I NEVER received any emails about the due date of the rentals approaching, so I was unaware that it was due until I was charged $22 to my account for a late fee. As soon as I received the late fee charge, I sent the book via mail the next day the post office was open (2 days later). I thought that it would be completely taken care of at that point (because the buyer has a 15 day time period to return the book), but a few days later I received a statement from my bank that a charge was put onto my account of $193. (Mind you, that the book to BUY was only $103).
May I also add that they charge a different card from which I paid for the book with.
I contacted the store, but they told me there was nothing they could do and when I asked for the number of the seller, they could not provide it to me.
So essentially this company charged me almost $300 dollars (for a $103 book)- $193 of that WRONGLY charged - and then they provided no contact information for me to talk to them about it.
VERY sketchy site. EXTREMELY bad business and I DO NOT recommend anyone to buy or rent a book from this seller.
Take it from a fourth year college student that was wrongly screwed out of almost $200. Do not let that happen to you. Buy from another seller.

I made the mistake of renting this textbook from apex_media in an attempt to save money. It seemed like a great idea since renting was only $51.75 as compared to $136.99 for purchase. Unfortunately the copy they sent me had been heavily used and the binding began to come apart by the end of the semester. This text was for an online course so it was never transported in a book bag or mishandled in any way. There was nothing I could do because it was past the 30 day return window when it started coming apart. After my class was completed I promptly returned the text. Now I have received an email from the store notifying me that I have been charged an additional $171.30 and they are sending the book back to me. Not only have I been forced to buy a book I no longer need, but I have been charged $223.05 for a used book that I could have gotten new for $136.99! I really wish this would have worked out considering that I will need over $700 worth of textbooks for next semester. Now I know it is better to buy and resale than try and rent from the store.

I returned this book 2 months ago and have tracking info from usps and you keep trying to debit my checking account I will seek legal advice because you have tried to debit my account 4 times causing nsf charges and fees

There are some selling soft cover books at hard cover prices. Soft covers are international versions, and should go for $50 or less. Hard covers are $99 and up. I am sure the book is fine. I cant wait to get the right book.

The content and quality/condition of the book are great! The authors made several grammatical errors. Some of these were very overt.

Overall, the content of the book is good, and sometimes I think personal projections/agendas are inadvertently expressed. Still, it was worth the purchase.

Exactly as the seller had described. Received the package a lot later than needed or expected, most likely due to standard shipping being the only option. Overall, I would buy from this seller again and would recommend.

"Human Development" 10th Edition by Diane Papalia et. al, is by far the BEST text I have ever used in my 30 year educational career. I use the book for prospective teachers, and their response to it has been excellent. Specifically, students really appreciate the myriad of information from research and how it relates to theory, pedagogical strategies, and practical applications. The writing style is very "student friendly" and also intellectually challenging. From the context of instruction, the text exceeds all curricula requirements. And it also promotes critical thinking about issues; therefore Socratic dialogue is easily incorporated as an instructional tool.

I highly recommend this text--instructors and students will really appreciate all of the thought that has gone into creating such a quality product!
