This book was a good read. I enjoyed Kaitlins attitude& philosophies, as well as her account of what happened at Sandy Hook school (well obviously I didn't "enjoy" that but the first hand account was more informative than removed news commentators) . The only downer was how it affected her later on, I did not see that coming nor the attitud... Read more

Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy
Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy

Review:This book is a broken down into segments for every day. Each segment is intended to be a reflection to bring more thoughtful-ness and gratitude into your life. Just reading the first couple of days was enough to tell me I was going to sincerely appreciate this book, and I do. I got the Journal to go with it and have appreciated having a place to write down my responses and thoughts from the daily reflections, which is lovely. Read more

Celebrate More. Regret Less. Stare Down Your Greatest Fears.

Review:Margaret has a gift with words, that paints pictures much like Max Lucado. She can express more feeling and passion in one sentence than some authors do in several paragraphs. I highly recommend the book. This one book made me want to read her other books. Read more

Reflections On Archetypal Images - The Book of Symbols
Reflections On Archetypal Images - The Book of Symbols

Review:Unfortunately, this book reflects how the institutional "Jungians" lack a real sense and knowledge of the spiritual dimension. Their understanding of symbols and archetypes has devolved to the secular psychological view of images and ideas. This book is one of many now which return Jung's rich multi-dimensional comprehension back to flatland. The pictures, however, are attractive. Read more

An Introduction to the Practice of Meditation - The Miracle of Mindfulness
An Introduction to the Practice of Meditation - The Miracle of Mindfulness

Review:What I particularly liked about it was that I felt it took the subject of meditatitive "mindfulness" and applied it to it's usage during the waking course of everyday life -- that is, to noticing what's in you and around you at any given time, i.e., engaging life. Usually I find the subject of meditation treated as recommending a solitary way of retreating from the disturbing pressures of life (sit, cross your legs, breathe....) That's good, some need it, I don't particularly. But this was a goo... Read more

How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life in Ten Minutes a Day
How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life in Ten Minutes a Day

Review:If you have ever thought about a meditation regimen but thought that it was too "new age hippie crap" think again. This book shows the research behind what mindfulness and meditation can accomplish. After just a few weeks of practicing, I find myself less worried and stressed during my day. This book was a really good introduction to the practice and even better, you only need about 10 minutes a day to meditate and experience the results. I was a skeptic but I thought if even a small percentage ... Read more

Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress
Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress

Review:This is a great book primarily geared toward Western audiences by a highly respected figure in the mind-body arena. It covers a lot of ground and goes way beyond the subtitle of using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain and illness. What it actually seeks is a new paradigm of an integrated body-mind where the Cartesian dualism that we are so used to is transcended.

The book covers such topics as living in the moment, minfulness and the power of breathing in calming the... Read more
