Politics & Government
Review:This is the truth and review ofthe 2nd Amendment. It is time the truth is told and not the lies from the government. This is what the founding fathers really meant! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves America and wants to save their country. Read more
Review:Always wondered about its origins.
Historically, Nazi Germany used it as a basis for committing the Holocaust.
Anti-Semitic elements in society today still believe it to be true.
Sad how a LIE can become gospel for the someone. Read more
Review:A complicated and complex work, dealing with conflicting feelings of love and self-worth while trying to sort out what is real and what is not. The story reflects the lives, dreams and aspirations of a little understood, isolated, almost primitive population of people living in America. The book, however, focuses on a young girl searching for a place in her topsy-turvy world were little makes sense to her except her family, which is strong on family values but unable to protect her from ongoing ... Review:Those who pick up “Chasing Hillary,” written by a New York Times reporter who covered both her 2008 and 2016 campaigns, expecting a love fest will surely be disappointed. Amy Chozick is more adversary than fan; the book, unlike so many campaign biographies, is not at all ponderous. That’s perhaps because, to paraphrase Trollope, she does not dwell over the the story at great length, as she might do if she loved her (“The Eustace Diamonds”).
The book’s title is apt. Chozick chased Hillary,... Read more
Review:This book surprised me as I felt Theodore Roosevelt has gone down in history as a great man and president. History proves this to be true, but this author denies the facts. In his opinion Roosevelt led us into World War II single handedly. This does not ring true.
I really hope that people read on after this book and learn the truth about Teddy Roosevelt.] Read more
Review:Once again Naomi Klein uses her knowledge of shock and awe and the current political situation to educate us and even guide us toward a possible positive outcome in a climate that appears hopelessly far from our care of our common home. Amazingly current, a must read that keeps the reader looking forward to each page Read more
Review:This book is part biography and part writings by RBG. Both parts are interesting. RBG has a distinct, clear, very readable style and my respect for her after reading this is immense. She comes across as not only extremely intelligent but also as just the sort of person you'd love to sit and just talk with. Excellent role model for us all. Read more
Review:Heather McDonald's comprehensive review of the present crisis in law enforcement and community relations with police is sorely needed to help sort out the facts from the fiction on this explosive topic. She carefully documents the results of recent attempts to address these issues after a period of effective measures that brought about dramatic reductions in crime in the previous twenty years, spearheaded by such leaders of former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The trouble is that these new measure... Read more
Review:Finally an admission from a liberal that there is bias in the media. From both conservative and liberal but more so on the liberal end. It really makes you think through what you are seeing reported on the news now days. I never trusted the way news is being reported before and now I understand why. Read more
Review:A well written and onverwhelmingly sad book! The first chapter about pro-wrestling was hilarious and I enjoyed it very much. The rest of the is probably just as true, although it was rehashing some ideas I've heard before Hedges dark vision of our country hit me hard. Twice I felt so sick to my stomach that I threw the book across the room. The biggest kicker was the final chapter were Hedges, instead of grasping at solutions, says there is no hope except maybe for love. LOVE!?!?! God dammit! Read more
