Politics & Government
Review:This book is extremely well written and pulls together a lot of information from various sources. It also has a number of proprietary insights that made it a great read even for someone like me that followed these events very closely as they unfolded. Ms. Kolhatkar is a talented writer and she set the bar high with this one. I look forward to her next book. Read more
Review:Have lofty aspirations of world dominance?
Dream of the laments of your enemies?
Do you want to learn to bend the masses to your will?
Here's the book for you!
I used the knowledge I gained from this book to depose the pretender to the throne of Carthage last week. And I'm only halfway through.
I also used its power to trick my wife into switching sides on the bed so I could be closer to the fan.
I'm drunk with power.
Come and join me. Read more
Review:This book is a well researched and well written history of the American left's political roots. Knowing where they came from is part of understanding where they would take us. This book is written in an interesting style and well documented. Well worth the time. Read more
Review:Refresher course on how and why this amazing originated and why our constitution is vital for America's future. We need to be and stay informed. A wonderful treatise no matter your candidate selection. Read more
Review:This book sits in an uncomfortable position. It is largely anecdote driven, which makes it hard to justify the lengthy page count. It is largely an explanation of how things work in Scandinavia with relatively superficial suggestions of how to transplant them to the US. Review:Overall, the memoir was written well and the story told was compelling and ,certainly, interesting. Living here in the US one may never know what it's like to live in the middle of a war and having to constantly be on the run for your life, meager sustenance, clothing. My respect and admiration for sister Leymah to have persevered and survived such a traumatic ordeal is unwavering. However, I feel as though the reviews were a bit over the top as it relates to the story content. Perhaps, I am... Read more
Review:This is perhaps the most succinct and simple summary of the rise of the federal bureaucracy that I have ever read. And, it's constantly rising costs and debt. From 3% of income to over 50% in the last sixty year's-ouch!, but how do we ever balance this nation's checkbook? Read more
Review:Brilliant, well written, easy to digest, and an easy to understand explanation of the free market system. A perfect book for those just becoming "economically literate" with concepts that translate even to high school aged readers. Read more
Review:The atrocities that were committed in both the Soviet Union and Germany before and during WWII are staggering. This book does a tremendous job of bringing to light the magnitude of that loss of life. I believe this book should be a must read. Read more
Review:Didn't realize Hillary was so disliked by so many. It's scary. Always tried to keep an open mind about left vesus right, but after reading this...I don't see how anyone could vote for this person. Problem is, many women support her because they won't look more into all that baggage she carries and will cast their vote based solely on her sex. Read more
