Review:Being captive in slave and concentration camps, we were puzzled why the Germans starved us at the same time when our strength could have been utilized for the benefit of the German economy. Sine we had no access to a newspaper or radio we had no idea what was going on in the world. But, in fall 1944, in Klettendorf (forced labor camp) we were digging trenches. Local civilians, in deep pall of gloom, were also digging anti-tank ditches. This made us realize that Germans were losing the war. Other... Read more
Review:Steinbeck travels, by which I mean that the territory of the Salinas valley and environs may be found all over the world, for instance Ireland. The catalyst is people. The authors characters are familiar, especially for those who are aware of those at the bottom of the socio economic heap in capitalist economies riven by the colonial curse.
The author makes the world of his misfits so real that at times I, as reader, must remind myself that I am looking into another sphere of human existenc... Read more
Review:Mrs. McKinstry weaves a compelling narrative highlighted with excerpts of Dr.King's speeches. While reading her story, I felt like I lived through the Birmingham bombing with her. I had the Kindle version, but bought the hardcopy so I could get her to sign it when she came to Denver. She was a sensitive and peaceful in person as she seemed in her book. Read more
Review:Great book explained the obvious, Republicans have been fooling Republicas for 60 years. Last real Republican was Eisenhower and the rest have been bs artists to the present date. I could also recommend The eleven regional nations of north america as an explanation on how poor whites would vote against their own interests. Good work E.J! Read more
Review:If you want to learn the truth about government abuses and about how government agencies treat small businessmen, this is the book for you.
If you want to sleep well at night and learn to become more trusting and less suspicious, this is not for you. Read more
Review:I like Eric Bolling and the title was enticing, the book was well-reviewed and seemed like a quick read so I thought I'd check it out.
Although it presents some interesting facts, it seems more like a loose collection of examples of corruption. I was hoping for an answer to the question: "Where did today's swamp come from, who/what is the cause, and what can WE do?" Instead, I got some very specific examples of scattered scandals from the 19th century, with seemingly little connection. Plea... Read more
Review:Well done, Anne. This book captures the real Russia that is often not described in the news media. Anne made a wise choice to get well off the beaten path in Russia to research her story subject and characters. My takeaway: Russians are not all that different from Americans. They want improvements in their lives as we do but their existence has been shaped by their unstable and corrupt politics. Anne describes it with personal experience, emotion, and expertise.
If you like historical and po... Read more
Review:This book is for anyone who considers himself a conservative (and if you have a problem with the pronoun i just used that just proves you are NOT one). But I warn you, it is tough medicine. And much like that Ipecac syrup often featured in cartoons back when cartoons where violent and racist and awesome, many conservatives are going to retch and reject this.
They shouldn't. I loved William F Buckley and followed National Review Online all through my early 30's. Spent hours and hours (when I s... Read more
Review:Vox Day's SJWAL accurately explains the method and intent of SJW targeting. For this reason the book would be very valuable to anyone trying to understand, avoid or mitigate the consequences of such an attack. He also provides examples of such attacks that have occurred to both prominent individuals and even himself. Some of these people were actually SJWs themselves which highlights the fact that no one is fully immune to their targeting. Read more
Review:My expectations for a collapse of the global monetary fantasies makes this comparison of eurozone and American political thinking since the election of Obama good for a few bits of information that I might otherwise have not considered significant. Europe had a large number of baby Babylons that produced higher swindle fanatics based on local customs and thinking. The eurozone bureaucrats hate Israel because it has a national ideology that is the opposite of the kind of market thinking banks wis... Read more
