Review:I may be writing this review a little prematurely, as I am only halfway through this book, however...I have already purchased additional copies for my friends. I have underlined, dog-earred and referred to various pages on several occassions. When the Heart Waits gives valuable insight into mid-life. It shares information as to the benefits gained in "being still". Waiting is not "doing nothing". It is both "passive and passionate". As many of us struggle with "what should I do next", ofte... Review:I found this to be an extremely informative and eye opening book, one that I had a hard time putting down. I have read Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible and to be honest, wasn't all that impressed. Therefore, it was with some hesitation that I reached out to this book. This book is an excellent read for anyone who is interested in gardening, eating healthy, or just being more aware about where you food comes from. I disagree with other readers who thought that Kingsolver was pretentious in t... Read more

Review:I have never written a book review before but had to on this one. My mom read this and raved about it and encouraged me to pick it up. I did and I am so thankful I did! I bought myself a copy and have encouraged all my friends to read it. After reading this book I was truly inspired to spend more time with the Lord...getting to know Him through His Word. He really is all I have whether I am in a state of plenty or want. And this book was so encouraging to hear the testimonies of how God answered... Read more
