Review:If I was sitting across the table and complaining to Rachel Remen about something going on in my life, I am certain she would give me a pearl of wisdom wrapped in a story. Not only am I wiser for the reading of Kitchen Table Wisdom, I am more human.
This book contains approximately eighty extremely short stories from Remen’s counseling practice, primarily with cancer patients. Many passages left me with tears in my eyes. And though the stories were about her patients and coworkers aha mo... Read more
Review:When I started reading this book, I thought it was going to be just another theory of who kill JFK. It is so much more than that. It starts near the end of WWII and reveals secret and not so secret meeting, agendas, deals, and decisions that the U.S. was engaged in from then until now and the resulting consequences. I was born during WWII so I am acquainted with many of happenings and you will be too even if you were born much later. The book is a real eye opener and it makes me wonder what's go... Read more
Review:The easiest and most interesting book for DIY autobiography writing. I buy them often to give as gifts. I just sent two to my grandparents that both turned 100 this year. And I kept one for myself because I procrastinate and better start now. :) Read more

Review:A good read for humbling ourselves, realizing we don’t know as much as we think we do, that we aren’t better than anyone else, and we definitely can never know what someone else has gone through in their lives. With all the left and right, liberal and conservative stuff going on, and blindly following one side with way too much fervor, we really have to stop and actually have a conversation with people who think differently than we do. Also it was hilarious, which is a plus. I love Whitney Cummi... Read more
Review:The first part of the book was interesting- card counting, stocks, etc. Unfortunately the second was just a re-hash of financial concepts and Thorp's views on Wall Street. I finally just gave up and skimmed it. Read more
Review:The definitive book of Robert Roark.....period. This is the what will whet your appetite for more, this will make you dream of Africa, north hardwoods, grasslands and prairies, mountains and woodsmoke of a campfire. This will give you an understanding of why men hunt. For the anti's this is what makes your positions and arguments pointless and futile.....find something else to be against, like voter fraud and illegal invasion, (even though the lamestream tells us they do not exist, despite t... Review:As with all autobiographies this book provides us with a fascinating picture of the adventurous life of Tom Horn. Yet it is the death of Tom Horn that has been the subject of great controversy to the present day; hanged for the murder of a fourteen year old boy, on evidence that was highly questionable.
This book is refered to as a vindication, and though many have disputed this, in some subtle ways it is. Whilst reading this narrative of Tom Horn's years as a scout and interpreter, at no... Read more
