Surprised by Joy: The Shape of My Early Life
Surprised by Joy: The Shape of My Early Life

Review:This is a good book, and deserves more stars. My review is on the quality of the kindle edition. There are OCR problems throughout the book. Many times the word "live" is written "five" in the book. There's even a spot where there is an unprintable character that didn't get fixed. The whole book needs to be proofread and corrected after the scan from the original. This book should be much cheeper if there was little to no cost in it's production. (Since it's pretty obvious no actual edito... Read more

The Epic Account of World War II's Greatest Rescue Mission
The Epic Account of World War II's Greatest Rescue Mission

Review:This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to learn more about the Bataan Death March in Philippines during the Second World War. Most people, have focused on Iwo Jima, Peleliu, and Okinawa to learn more about the ordeals of soldiers in World War II and have often "forget" about these brave souls in Philipines. In "Ghost Soldiers", Hampton Sides gives these forgotten soldiers, voices.
This book deals with both the successful rescue effort by the 6th Ranger and the ordeal of the prisoners ... Read more

The Worst President in History - The Legacy of Barack Obama
The Worst President in History - The Legacy of Barack Obama

Review:Only 200? I can think of at least 100 more, not including all the broken, outlandish promises ("lowering the seas"), and simplistic throw-ins to non-existent assertions ("The Alaska Natives" called it Denali, which is a foolish lie). Every example of Obama's arrogant over-reach is carefully exposed. The damage to the prestige and credibility of the Presidency is forever damaged. Read more

The Daring U.S. Mission to Rescue the Priceless Stallions Kidnapped by the Nazis

A New Look at England’s Most Notorious Queen - The Creation of Anne Boleyn
A New Look at England’s Most Notorious Queen - The Creation of Anne Boleyn

Review:This book is very interesting facts about Anne Boleyn, but is very dry and reads like a historical thesis. I am slowly reading through it as I am supposedly a distant relative of hers on the Howard side. Susan seem to be really wanting to get out the facts about Anne rather than hearsay which has previously been written and I praise her for that, but it is a slow read. Read more
